Hey! Just wanted to thank you for the photo comments. I'm finally able to breathe after contest prep for months on end... so was able to check my bodyspace. I appreciate your support, and best of luck with your training goals!

man, the hunger doesn't stop... but you'll realize it's very mental, and you'll end up fighting yourself a LOT! I started doubting my sanity at times, seriously. The key is being able to step outside of yourself and almost see yourself as separate from your body and it's cravings. You'll find your own tactics for what works. If I messed up my diet with something in the house, I'd immediately throw it away. Best of luck. Hang in there!!!!

Believe me... I can relate. I am struggling with the same things post-contest & can only say: cravings are a mental struggle & you need to understand that as you develop your physical body, your mental must be conditioned too. Everyone has their own coping mechanisms, throughout training for this first show I had to throw out EVERYTHING that could possibly make me cheat. When are your worst cravings?

Nah, this is the first show. I've been eating the same stuff for so long, I think I'll stick mainly to the bodybuilding staples. I just miss variety. I miss peanut butter, oatmeal recipes, fancy protein shakes, seasoning... stuff like that. I'll never go back to my old habits. I've found a new life and a new outlook to go with my new bod. Will gain some healthy weight back after the show, but be careful to do it gradually and not go overboard.

I'm two weeks out, so the very basics: flax oil, tilapia, asparagus, spinach, egg whites, peppers, sweet potato, cucumbers and vinegar, no salt... Lots of water.

Stress levels progressively rising... ready to get this show on the road. I somehow become purely evil when my carbs are low for an extended period of time. And I miss salt... man do I miss salt... LOL. Hope you're doing well!

One word: agonizing. But it's happening :) Funny how much pain it takes to drop one measly percent! Should be 8-9 by showtime. Lookin jacked!

Hey! Good! 6 weeks to go... just working my routine now. I got my music back from the DJ yesterday & it's BOMB! Cutting salt completely out starting next week :( If i can kick the sugar habit, though, this should be no problem... just get er done, right? How's your training going? Progressing?

Hey! You're definitely progressing... don't quit! it's a long road :) I weigh in this week and do bf%. Will probably post some new progress pics in a few. I can't tell much of a difference, but some photos might show the stuff I haven't noticed. Thanks for keeping me accountable!

It's just not natural, something's wrong. As I did some research, I realized it wasn't something I was doing wrong, it was something I'd been tricked into believing... that sugar is innocent, and that I can control it. It's not. It's scary as hell, and out of control. Best of luck, girl. I know you can hang in there. We're stronger than all of the influences around us. What we are capable of is beyond what we can even imagine :)

Haha... yeah, I have struggled so badly this week. I couldn't wait for my cheat meal today. I really analyzed all of the feelings I associated with cheat foods, though. I'm really learning so much. Like, why do I CRAVE sugary stuff? Why do I DREAM about Ice cream??? (cont)
