How I Started:
I did gymnastics for 12 years (competed for 10) and then started lifting to stay in shape after gymnastics was over.
Why I Love It:
It gives me more confidence in myself and sets me apart from most other girls.
How I Stay Motivated:
By nature, I'm very competitive and self-motivated. I love the way I feel after a good workout and I also love knowing that I can outlift most girls so it's hard for me to stay out of the gym! My boyfriend plays a huge role in keeping me motivated also by being such a great training partner and being so supportive : )

I've always been very active and very competitive. I ran track for a few years and I did gymnastics for about 12 years and competed all the way through college. I wanted to be able to stay in shape after gymnastics ended, so I started lifting weights and working out in a gym when I was a junior at SUNY Cortland and now I can't picture my life without the gym!! I miss competing and pushing myself to limits most people won't go to so I'm definitely ready to go to the next level and see how far my competitive nature can take me.

Description: I always start my back workout with 3 sets of bodyweight pullups followed by deadlifts, bent over rows, lat pulldowns, and occasionally use a rear delt machine or bent over db flys to torch the rest of my upper back...my workouts are constantly changing...I sometimes throw in some machines, but the majority of the time I use free weights
