This contest was very well organized. My competitors were very good. At least I was reasonably well prepared. I got an excellent response from the crowd. I met some good people. An overall positive experience. |

I enjoyed my experience here. To prepare, I experimented with some new supplements. Looking back, I should have been darker going on stage. Other than that, I met some good people and had a fun time. |

I was in a very large group and a very competitive class. I prepared well for this show. It was my best showing up to that date.
I got a great response from the crowd. In particular, a group of young ladies near the front of the theater. I think they were cheering on all the other guys the same way. But it was still great to have them in the crowd cheering myself and other on in such an enthusiastic manner.
Overall, a very positive experience. |

I looked OK in still pictures from this event. I learned a lot from this show.
That said, there were flaws in my routine. My fellow competitors were a few notches above me. Honestly I was not ready for that level of competition at that point. I just was not experienced enough to really compete at that level. It was my rookie season and I just hadn't learned exactly what it took to really be competitive at such a high level. I underestimated the leap from provincial level to the national level.
Since then I have really stepped things up a notch in terms of preparation and performance in the 4 shows since then. I would really like to get back to Canadian Nationals in Edmonton one day, but this time use everything I've learned in the last several years and then some and prove to myself and other that I can indeed be competitive at that level. |

This was my second show and I improved a lot over my first show two months previous. I had a lot of fun at this event. Unfortunately I have no still photos or video tape of this event. So I really don't know specifically how I actually looked at that time. So I can't give an accurate synopsis of this event. |

This was my very first show. My build was OK. I was actually bigger than my opponent. However my posing technique was very poor. there were a lot of little things I could have done different. Again, it was my first show. |
