When I Started:
How I Started:
I have always been interested in health and fitness, even at an early age. I was about 17 years old when I started working out. All the techniques, tips and work outs I've learned were through magazines and online research.
Why I Love It:
Working out is very therapeutic for me. I get to releive some stress while at the gym after a long day of work, studying or writing papers for school. That's why I enjoy and love working out.
How I Stay Motivated:
Staying motivated can sometimes be a challenge for me, ha! I love to eat! (Especially chineese food). But in order to stay motivated I set a short term goal for myself and focus on acheiving it. Once I have achieved it, I get pumped and exited on the next goal and focus on reaching that one.

Goals:
Main Goal:
Transform My Body
Goal (Overall):
My goal is to shed about 15lbs of fat and sculpt some abs.
Goal (Long):
About 6 weeks ago (May/08), my co-worker and I weighed ourselves on a scale our job provides for its employees. -and let me say, it was not pretty. I had gained about 18 lbs. totaling 198 lbs. during my 8 months of employment there! This is the heaviest I've ever been. So why and how could this have happened? Well, for starters, I have a sedentary job where I sit on my ass all day in front of a computer. It also doesn't help that my co-workers always find a reason to bring food into the office, whether it's a birthday or anniversary we're celebrating or just a saturday morning brunch, which consists mainly of donuts and other pastries. Needless to say, I wasn't doing much exercise either due to the fact that I go to school full time in the morning and then work second shift. Anyways, I made a bet with my co-worker that day to see who could get in the best shape in 12 weeks. Twelve weeks from when we started is exactly the week our company has an outing to a water park, which we figured would be the perfect motivation to get into shape and hopefully be able to showcase a new us. Since my clothes were fitting me tight and I was very dissapointed with my physique, I decided to take this challenge seriously. It is now July 16th and i'm at my half way point; week 6. I have lost 15 lbs. and can definitely notice a big change in my physique. But now its time for some drastic change! For my last six weeks of this personal challenge I am going to kick my work outs and diet into high gear. The first thing i'm going to focus on is my poor diet. I have a hard time with this part of my challenge as I tend to eat about 2 meals a day and sometimes even one. I realize that my metabolism will suffer if I don't rectify this problem. I will also change my work out routine. I will focus on work outs that will help tone my body instead of adding mass. So here it goes! Wish me luck! If you have any tips or great workouts defintely hit me up. I will post pictures of my progress every week as this will serve as motivation for me to keep on going and reach my goal.
