fitmontanagirl created a new BodyBlog entry "Gotta say no to the vino! ".

I am so pissed at myself! I was awesome for 3 months doing the challenge with no alcohol and only a couple of cheats. I stayed true to my committment and slowly I have been falling back into my same old routine. I am still eating clean 95% of the time but the food isn't the issue....it is the wine. I have noticed how my body holds alcohol when I do drink it. My body hates it for sure and it shows! I am up about 6 lbs from where I was and I am done done done! So yesterday I was invited to do a group run with some runner friends of mine. They are serious runners that do marathons often. I was a little intimidated going because I am not a "runner". I would rather spend my time in the gym lifting weights and doing intervals on the treadmill or spin bike then a boring run. Well the transformation contest is over but I decided that this is a lifestyle change and not just a contest or a 3 month short term plan. I have had a few cheats (frozen yogurt, a couple glasses of wine, and sushi) so I am not as strict as I was doing the contest. I have realized everything I put in my mouth affects my body though. If I drink wine I notice how bloated I am the next day. I also don't even have to hop on the scale now because I am so in tuned with my body I know what I weigh by... Go to BodyBlog

Meg127 Congrats on your transformation! What a fabulous job! Read some of your blogs and found them to be a good source of encouragement to help me reach my goals. I'm in week 4 of a 12 week program, am right where I want to be but sometimes I do a bit more questioning than I should (the scale BS!) so your blogs about that are helpful. Again, congrats! mdegraff Yeah I have done the Cardio X, Kenpo X and Plyometrics DVD's for my Cardio routines. AB Ripper X as well...they are tough but I like them. I will give it a try and see if it works out. I am hoping it shreds me up a little more. I don't need to be the muscle king...just want to look good when I take my shirt off :) Thanks for the advice and I hope whatever you decide to do next you are happy with. mdegraff I am almost done with my 12 week challenge as well and my next goal is to complete P90X and do the whole thing. You look incredible though and your progress is amazing.
