Background

When I Started: Feb 2008
HOW I STARTED:

I wanted a change with the way I looked. At first I battled a lot with anorexia and bulimia. I would work out for hours a day, and I eventually became very weak and worn down. I screwed up a lot of things in my body, and set myself further back health-wise than I ever wanted to. This whole stage lasted for a few years. Even after I began embracing a healthier lifestyle (2008-2009), the habit was still quite difficult to break free from. After speaking with concerned people and being tired of the vicious circle I was running in, I decided to change my eating habits for the better, and focus on being healthy rather than trying to be as tiny as possible. I took up weight training, and got hooked on lifting heavy in the gym. So instead of starving myself, or binging and purging, I began eating healthier, getting stronger, and embracing my body for the wonderful thing it is. Once I learned to love myself, things started to fall in place. And I think that in the end, it's the most important thing. You must treat your body well, because you only have one. Treat it with respect, and don't abuse it. The positive results will speak for themselves.

WHY I LOVE IT:

I love getting stronger. I love making PR's, doing better every day, and making my body healthier and more energized than its ever been.

haleyb77 Thanks a lot for your response and letting me know you were able to rebuild! Thats what my hopes are if i end up losing to much of it. I want to do many many squats, I do some but cant do with much weight. Knee injury keepin me down till i get stronger legs to help it out. You did awesome with all your changes in life! haleyb77 I dont know how ur doing it but you have an awesome butt for your size. I have about 20lbs of fat i want to lose and so desperately want to keep my backside!!
