How I Started:
Now that I am 40 I want to show that age is just a number. We can look fit and beautiful at ANY age! I want my children to look up to me and consider me a role model. That is my biggest reward.
Why I Love It:
I love feeling strong and knowing that I am healthy. I love being able to be a good role model for my children!
How I Stay Motivated:
Motivation comes in so many ways. Looking at old "fat" pictures of myself... looking at "fit" pictures of myself... all of my wonderful friends and family who support me (both at home and on this site)... looking at fitness magazines... my children :-)

Here is a comparison of my back four months ago (5/10/09) and today (9/5/09). I am pretty happy that there isn't too much of a difference considering that I have barely been working out for the last three months. I went from working out twice a day 6 days a week to only about 2 - 3 times a week. ...

Pamela has been through hell and back and shows that if you have the will and determination you CAN succeed at anything you put your mind to! She also shows that age is just a number.
She is incredible... her story is incredible... and her transformation is incredible.
How has bodybuilding and fitness helped you to be a better parent?
I am able to keep up with my kids and stay active with them. I am also setting a good example by exercising and eating healthy. I hope my kids see me as a positive role model.

My husband and I tend to like to do as much as we can together. And working out is something that we try to do together. I am also going to learn how to cross country ski with him (he has been skiing for a long time, but I have never been on skis). Being active together gives us a lot of together time which is really important in a relationship. There is a gym at my work that I try to get to every day. I usually go for my lunch break. It helps me from making excuses for not working out. On the weekends I go to my local gym. Mega props to you once again for turning me onto the Nature's Plus Lightning series. I heretofore swear by them (I mix all four). They have made a huge difference in my training. That is the only thing I have added nutritionally recently and I can train for hours and hours now. Fantastic stuff. You rule. Keep'em comin!
omg i DID get a clogged duct!!! HOW FRIGGIN PAINFUL!!! i tried the cabbage last night finally and am SO glad i did. i am still pretty sensative, but today is the first day i can pickup brady without feelonig sick when he bumps me. :) thank you so much for encouragment. i took him to the docs tues night too and he is on his way back to his sweet self! :)
In my opinion, YES. Small amounts though. I never have more than a tablespoon a day. But Herm says it is not good. I think it is ok for you in moderation...but you can't go crazy on it! It is better for you than CANDY or sweets. So..there is my rational. It gives me a sweet fix sometimes.
That doesn't sound like any fun. This lady liked me...a lot. Asked me for a drink to 'thank' me for being so patient. "I'm married." "Oh. I didn't see a ring." I guess she didn't read the sign about removing all metals from your person...DUH!
Just venting. MRI crapped out WHILE I was in it. Didn't finish the scan, but they had a spot open tomorrow AM. I waited for 15 minutes to get in the thing, then laid there for almost half an hour with nothing happening. Couldn't even take a nap.
i'm able to cut and paste into a word doc which i saved but when i go to upload it's a word doc and not pic. Hey is this like working with the help desk?
OMG Kimber we DTE...GLD..RST..JHI all day long then my daughter came home with MOS (my own science) and i wanted to cry now it's the HIIT/HST/PISS oh wait that's a word...lol Happy friday
Oh, and I finally got a real camera to use for my progress pics. Hopefully it'll blow away my phone's camera. :) Unfortunately my abs still aren't showing, so it won't show anything new. :(
LOL, I should have known. I'd rather tell you about something you already know about than let something cool slip through the cracks. Same with me.
