How I Started:
Now that I am 40 I want to show that age is just a number. We can look fit and beautiful at ANY age! I want my children to look up to me and consider me a role model. That is my biggest reward.
Why I Love It:
I love feeling strong and knowing that I am healthy. I love being able to be a good role model for my children!
How I Stay Motivated:
Motivation comes in so many ways. Looking at old "fat" pictures of myself... looking at "fit" pictures of myself... all of my wonderful friends and family who support me (both at home and on this site)... looking at fitness magazines... my children :-)

Here is a comparison of my back four months ago (5/10/09) and today (9/5/09). I am pretty happy that there isn't too much of a difference considering that I have barely been working out for the last three months. I went from working out twice a day 6 days a week to only about 2 - 3 times a week. ...
Pamela has been through hell and back and shows that if you have the will and determination you CAN succeed at anything you put your mind to! She also shows that age is just a number.
She is incredible... her story is incredible... and her transformation is incredible.
She inspires me with her dedication and drive to succeed. She doesn't take crap from anyone, and she never makes excuses. And she always makes me laugh!! :-)
How has bodybuilding and fitness helped you to be a better parent?
I am able to keep up with my kids and stay active with them. I am also setting a good example by exercising and eating healthy. I hope my kids see me as a positive role model.

Do you have a significant other?
Yes
How has bodybuilding and fitness helped or hurt your relationship?
My husband and I tend to like to do as much as we can together. And working out is something that we try to do together. I am also going to learn how to cross country ski with him (he has been skiing for a long time, but I have never been on skis). Being active together gives us a lot of together time which is really important in a relationship. It also helps by motivating each other to get our work out in :-).My husband and I tend to like to do as much as we can together. And working out is something that we try to do together. Where do you mainly workout?
Gym
Why? What are the pros and cons of working out there?
There is a gym at my work that I try to get to every day. I usually go for my lunch break. It helps me from making excuses for not working out. On the weekends I go to my local gym. And I always try to do Pilates or Yoga each night at home. There is a gym at my work that I try to get to every day. I usually go for my lunch break. Lately I have been using my Omron handheld bodyfat tester to keep track of my bodyfat percentage. I used to be obsessed with the scale (and if I'm being truthful I still weigh myself waaaay too much), but that obsession has converted over to testing my bodyfat percentage way too much. :-) ...

Whoopty do! You immediately came to mind. I dropped this great rainbow pepper grinder and broke it. Googled the company to re-order and found out that they NOT only make incredible spice blend grinders with gourmet TASTE blends but also include healing and medicinal and interesting HERBS(!) in some blends as well. Jackpot! http://www.chelseamarketbasket .com/capeherb-spice-grinders.h tml

Women are funny that way with our hair... it's difficult to make drastic changes. However, I am sure that you look great! It would be nearly impossible for you NOT to look great!
interesting point you made about static holds. i do them for shrugs and laterals but only for a few seconds.maybe i should drop weight and hold for longer. its in my head now thanks.
Haha, I was heavier too from all the baby weight. I was all cheeks, LOL. Well, at least you have it all done and over with, now you can start all over with super healthy hair.
