How I Started:
Now that I am 40 I want to show that age is just a number. We can look fit and beautiful at ANY age! I want my children to look up to me and consider me a role model. That is my biggest reward.
Why I Love It:
I love feeling strong and knowing that I am healthy. I love being able to be a good role model for my children!
How I Stay Motivated:
Motivation comes in so many ways. Looking at old "fat" pictures of myself... looking at "fit" pictures of myself... all of my wonderful friends and family who support me (both at home and on this site)... looking at fitness magazines... my children :-)

How has bodybuilding and fitness helped you to be a better parent?
I am able to keep up with my kids and stay active with them. I am also setting a good example by exercising and eating healthy. I hope my kids see me as a positive role model.

Lately I have been using my Omron handheld bodyfat tester to keep track of my bodyfat percentage.  I used to be obsessed with the scale (and if I'm being truthful I still weigh myself waaaay too much), but that obsession has converted over to testing my bodyfat percentage way too much. :-) ...

You're only supposed to submit one. The avatar, the one I shot (...actually Kate shot, great job, she is an amazing art director/photographer) Saturday? Dat one? Dat be da' one. I have to submit a 150 word essay "What a fit body means to me", which is a done deal." I have until november 30th to email picture and essay. Whoopty do! You immediately came to mind. I dropped this great rainbow pepper grinder and broke it. interesting point you made about static holds. i do them for shrugs and laterals but only for a few seconds.maybe i should drop weight and hold for longer. its in my head now thanks.

Haha, I was heavier too from all the baby weight. I was all cheeks, LOL. Well, at least you have it all done and over with, now you can start all over with super healthy hair.
