When I Started:
How I Started:
My dad lifted when I was little and always wanted to compete together. Now I am preparing to compete in bodybuilding, I want him to be proud. I also want to make sure I don't get stuck in mommy mode, I love being a mom but I need to have me time.
Why I Love It:
I enjoy pushing myself and reaching for goals. God only gives us one body, we need to take care of it.
How I Stay Motivated:
My husband and kids, I want to be here for them. I also want to teach my kids how to be healthy and to reach for there goals. I count on God's guidance and strength to push me through when I want to give up. He always comes through for me!

This is 10 1/2 months after the third baby. I really need to lose body fat and for the skin to tighten back up. My first comp planned for 8 months from now. Just wait to see the change.
My abs have come a long ways, now the skin is loose, hopefully it will tighten up so they are more defined.
What tips would you give to others to help them stay motivated over the long-term?
Keep yourself around like minded people and stay in magazines or whatever will keep you motivated (who doesn't want to look like the people in things like Flex).

Do you tell your friends and/or family about your fitness goals?
Yes
Why or why not?
If I tell people my goals then I have more accountability. I am going to make it to my goals.
Okay, I can't believe it is finally here. I have been working so hard. We decided not even a week ago that I would do figure instead of bodybuilding. I am happy I did, the posing seems mmore natural for me. I am far leaner then any of the other girls that were there, but we will see how...
It has been a while. I was thrown a curve ball, but all's well. Congrats on the puppies!!! You are so close! How are you holding up? I was a WRECK from this point on lol You'll be fine, though, judging from your blog :)
Sorry to hear about your grandparents. I lost my Dad in December. It's hard (esp since he wasn't a believer). Good luck with the contest prep. I could never do that (get up on stage in a speedo? -- NO WAY!). :-)
