Background

When I Started: no information entered
HOW I STARTED:

I started lifting 1980's for better Marine physical fitness scores. My legs developed quick but took years to build upper body. Became AFAA certified 1990's & taught aerobics for a few years. Part of my job as a Marine was to help other Marines maintain proper weight/ physical standards. I learned early on that having a muscular build boosts metabolism to burn fat. Military retirement, my case worker job and having three miscarriages left me flabby. I decided to quit my job & get back into shape before my 40th B-day. I changed the way I ate and slowly trained to avoid injuries. I use more ice on my knees these days but can still achieve great results.

WHY I LOVE IT:

I train because I love to eat! I'm fortunate to not work at the moment and am able to devote so much time for training.

NPC Milestone Achieved!

Finally, my first BB comp was last November, NPC Texas State, and I took first in Women's LW Novice.  I worked so hard with training, posing and diet but my legs just did not cut in comparison to my upper body.  I almost quit so many times but my husband kept me going.  He had a hard time with my diet moodiness but he did not want me to give up.  It was definitely worth it, even though I did not do well with Masters.  Back stage was a blast! Especially meeting so many body building greats (check out my pics).  I'm glad to have done it but not sure if I will do ano...

Diet to cut - just started this last week

Take 1 Hydroxycut first thing before am cardio Post cardio - meal 1 - 6 egg whites and 1/4 cup quick toasted oats (2 multi-vitamins, 2 Thyrolean & 1 Glucosamine Celadrin MSM) Three hours later - meal 2 - 4oz natural chicken breast (no rib-meat) and 1/4 cup brown rice Three hours later - meal 3 - 4oz Tilapia and 1 cup greens [squash, broccoli or asparagus steamed] (2 multi-vitamins, 2 Thyrolean & 1 MSM) Half-hour later - 1 Hydroxycut & 1 NO scoop  prior to lifting Post lifting - meal 4 - 1 scoop IsoPure with 1 scoop Volugrow (1 MSM) Three hours later -  meal 5 - 4oz Tilapi...

Recently took time away from my laptop to focus on training.  Diet is brutal, especially when I cut fat and carbs.  No energy for training but realized lack of lifting results in muscle loss.  Every week my body analysis is done using biometric scale measuring lean body mass, body fat and comparison of right, left, upper and lower body parts.  Changes are made to my diet & training based on results.  Thanks to Daniel from Lean Nutrition (McAllen, TX), I can see great difference in my build.  With Daniel's help I hope to do very well in my first BB competition...
