I was active throughout high school and mildly in college. Continued to surf after college, but it didn't help to lose the fat gained from a desk job.
Joined gym in Feb 2000. Lost all of the desk job fat and then some. Got a 6 pack. Yeah!
Went on hiatus for three years. I ballooned up to 190 lbs. Damn~
Rejoined the gym in Jan 2007, dropped 10 lbs and realized how DUMB of me to stop exercising. DUMB...
Now I'm back, I want my 6 pack back, and a lot more definition.
Why I Love It:
The challenge, stress relief, revitalized my energy and focus.
When I'm in the gym, it's my time, my zen zone. The world remain outside.
How I Stay Motivated:
Looking in the mirror, the scale, and viewing the BodyShape members that transformed their body.

This embarrassing as hell, but we all need a baseline to start with and compare along the way. Hoping the fat lost will come quickly.
Break the 170 lbs barrier on the scale and get back to surfing shape.
Goal (Long):
Actually, it should be to re-transform my body. I had a great exercise and surfing routine (with a strong body)3 years ago. That was three years ago. This time, I'm get my six pack back, but w/ more definition and depth.
Sorry to hear about the disk...I have a bit of experience with that...it's not fun...glad to hear you're not letting it derail you for too long...you'll be back to normal workouts before you know it!
Hey that sounds awesome, you'll have to PM me with some of your vacation details! Maybe you can put a few pics in your gallery, I'd love to see that part of the world, but kind of stuck here in CA, ha! My Thanksgiving was very nice and relaxing, I didn't have to make the dinner for a change...we all went to my sisters. Just crazy busy lately and trying to be consistant with my training and diet, very hard to do during this time of year!
It's through WITS Education. It's offered through a local college and the exam is next week (written & practical) and then I have to do an 20 hour internship before getting certified. The classes have been very informative. Good luck with the GMAT!
Yes...school's in full swing...going well I must say. I've been rather busy, so not on here to much these days. I'm still working on building some muscle. I've put on about 8 pounds in the last 12 weeks!! Working on getting certified as a personal trainer...got two more Sundays of class for that. What are you up to these days?
Thanks alot. Its going good. training with them is alot more involved then just throwing them around like it looks like. I highly suggest incorporating them into a routine.
Thanks for asking about my progress. Sort of ran out of steam on the blog! Things are going really well. Want to keep writing but am having a motivation crisis. Cheers, Mike
Hey there yes this carb cycling is part of my cut. At the moment I am just mainaining as I have hit 10% body fat. If I start to gain again in any way I will be back on the diet.No I live in Northern CA nowhere near a beach, too bad huh?! Hope you get some surfing in soon...
You're not right leaving a comment like that in my blog when I'm trying to quit the natty pb habit!!!! LOL...I LOVE the natty pb with banana on a piece of whole wheat toast...man, that would be AWESOME right about now!!!
you are not!! I am doing a carb cycling rotation but have not been sticking to it as good as I need to. I think I am on the burn out ha! Yes I do eat at night but it's not fun stuff, like chicken and vegies etc and I mean late at night ha! How are you doing? Any surfing lately? I have been watching a lot on Fueltv jealous of course, wished I could learn to surf. Oh well maybe someday!
