Overall Goal: 2nd in my class at the ABA/INBA Western USA Naturals! there was only 3 of us, but i didnt lose so im happy since this was my first show :D
Fit Status:
clean bulking once again...need to get bigger for next season :) trying to hit the 215 lb mark by next spring while at 9-11% ish BF
I worked out a little here and there in the middle of high school, but when i started weight training class my senior year, thats what got me into it and finally hooked (aka consistent lifting). I was a soccer player my whole life and was always pretty skinny. I was quiet and shy too in the beginning of high school and i got picked on occasionally, not much, but enough to annoy me sometimes. I eventually got sick of all that and of being all skinny so i decided that i wanted to build some muscle.
Why I Love It:
I am totally laid back and am not confrontational to people, but eventually people stopped bothering me when i started filling out haha.
Now i am totally obsessed because of how good you feel inside and out. I love bein sore (to a reasonable extent) and the pumps of lifting, and just being in shape overall.
How I Stay Motivated:
I have been lifting for a while now and it has become an integral part of my life. I cannot go without lifting, and if i dont lift for a while i feel like crap. I HAVE to go...
Arnold is the MAN, and he has definitely been my motivational guide through his articles and encyclopedia (and Pumping Iron, duh)
Also, all the old school bodybuilders are very motivational to me...Frank Zane, Serge Nubret, franco columbu, etc
BB Accomplishments:
Ive recently gotten into modeling and actually have my first real shoot in dec 13th 08! gonna be in exercise for men magazine! also have shoots lined up for mens fitness and mens health mags!!! so im stoked
also, going from about 160 to around 200 pounds, solid. Pretty good for me, being somewhat of an ectomorph/hard gainer. Im pretty satisfied...

What supplements do you take immediately before your workout? Why?
ive been taking Fusion lately. its ok.
it gives me a good pump, keeps me vascular, boosts my nitric oxide levels and gives me energy to lift intense.

What mistakes did you make when you first started working out?
hahaha, too many,
i did not have a very good program and did not really know how different lifts and sets or whatever would affect each area.
lifted the same areas too often and missed others...
not being consistent...lifting for a month or two then slacking...etchahaha, too many,

not ...more
I am very mechanically minded/inclined and being that I was a mechanical engineering major for 3 1/2 years, I have done a lot of math and physics as well...so pardon me for being a nerd in this blog haha, just some tips for you guys!!
The way I think and see things is different from most people....
WOW STEVE!!!SUPER FIT & CUT TO SHREDDS!!! CONGRATS ON YOUR RECENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS!! SOME OF THE BEST GUNS & FINEST ABS ANYWHERE BRO! LIFT STRONG & BE BLESSED, DAVE.
Good to hear that you enjoyed your comp and excited about doing another one lol! That is a good plan you have for the bulk, the less amount of fat, easier it is to cut next time. Make sure you keep me posted and keep kicking ass!
Worrd man, thats crazy. It's good you didn't get badly hurt..especially with the comp. comin' up. Me? I started a new routine yesterday, already sore lol. Started eating alot more organic, raw whole foods. Studying alot too. Hey ever tried a raw cookie? Ish is legit. Hippie status right? haha.
He's always telling me when we w/o, 'Son, you need to use that belt, or you'll regret it later'. I really don't like em and I only use 'em when he's there haha, but I need to use em more often. Man, if I got a dollar for everytime I corrected some1 about there so called 'diet' or excercise form, I could pay my gym dues for like 4 months ahaha. I should be like 'insert money here for help' haha. You'd be a kick ass PT bro. Get 'er done lol.
Thats kool, especially if their paid gigs right haha. I've loved bodybuilding since I was a kid; my dad did it alot and he's old school w/ the whole weight lifting belt and all ahaha. There are alot of reasons why I do it; modelling, shows and what not aren't out of the question. Mainly, gettin my PT cert to help others, and show them that anythings possible, that and trying to rule the world haha.
