How I Started:
I joined the Marine Corps after high school, so had no choice but to workout (PT), lol. When I was 20 yrs old (about 2 years into the USMC) I went to a gym with a friend and took an aerobics class. I was hooked and started teaching them. I've been instructing a variety of fitness classes all of my adult life up until about 2 years ago. I did very little weight training on my own. Now I have cut back on teaching and am focusing on weight training for myself.
Why I Love It:
Working out is one thing that I do just for myself. I'm sure everyone out there who is a parent, or even if you're not a parent it's easy to fall into a life of taking care of everyone around you and putting yourself last. I've found that by taking care of myself first I can be a better mom to my kids and better friend to everyone else in my life.
How I Stay Motivated:
The way I feel when I stay on track with my workouts is enough to keep me motivated. But when I have those days when I just don't feel like the extra effort it takes to keep it up I look through my Oxygen magazines. The pictures and stories always light that fire back up again.

I keep trying to get some decent pics on here but I guess I'm not very good at taking them of myself. Here's one I took on my way out the door to the gym this morning.
I just discovered another delicious way to use my LDP protein powder. The flavor I have is chocolate. I eat oatmeal for breakfast quite often. Lately I've cut back on using sugar, brown sugar, honey, etc..... to sweeten it. I've been just mixing strawberries into it to sweeten it. That's good,...
Aww thank you. Like they say you never know what you have till you lose it. I have lost the gym for 7 weeks and feel like a bum, so I can't wait. I have a goal to reach and I will reach it. How is the Realestate market doing in you area? Ohio has hit rock bottom, went from selling 45 + homes a year to 15 - 20 50% loss. Got a evening job to off set it all. Best of luck on your goals!!
