I've been physically active since I was a youngster, but got my first taste of weight training in high school while training as a pole vaulter. I got into running and yoga for a number of years following high school, but turned back to the weights after getting bored.
Why I Love It:
There's nothing like spending three months training for a marathon and then running the race.
How I Stay Motivated:
Just going to the gym and charting my progress keeps me going. I dig the adrenaline rush from lifting or having a good run from day to day.
BB Accomplishments:
Forum Signature:
Resolve to evolve.

An absolute load of bollocks... I don't quite know what to think or say -except that my body has rebelled off and on over the last couple of months. It's been extremely difficult to keep the weight on, especially my hard-earned muscle development. My trainer and I have made some changes to...
Your life sounds sooooooooo busy!!! :) You must get a ton of stuff accomplished, my friend! :) I hope all is well on the health end - keep taking good care of yourself!!
Wow. Flexiril is heavy duty. I take Fish Oil, Curcumin, Quercetin, Horsetail, Boswella, Red Pepper, Stinging Nettle, Vitamin C and drink lots of green, white and berry teas.
Thanks. The shoulder is doing fairly well; as long as I keep up on the rotater cuff exercises. I hope your test results are good. I have a mild case of reactive arthritis. I had a stomach infection and my body responded by attacking my joints. It can be very serious (heart valves). Mine has been mild but it was very painful in the beginning. Exercise and eating in accorcance with my blodd type help.
I like your blog. I have some auto-immune problems as well. I know all about 'rusted joints' in the AM. If I fall off my workout schedule I get more rust.
How are you feeling these days? The recovery process is a slooooooooow one, isn't it? I bet you're finding great ways to make the best of it, though! Thanks for the tip - I am going to make a little smoothie of my next protein shake. MMmmmm!! :)
