How I Started:
Joined a gym after college. Did all the "female" workouts in the aerobic world. Asked a male teammate one day to show me how to lift weights and all the girls in the aerobic room looked like sissies doing their hair and makeup. LOL!
Why I Love It:
The strength and confidence I feel as a female. Knowing I'm doing this for myself but my family gets the benefit too. It feels soooo good when my 14 year old son asks me to flex my bicep for his friends.
How I Stay Motivated:
Manuel (tactical_santa) and my son Caleb. They believe in me. I am Native American and I have a family history of a couple diseases. I HATE taking meds for a simple headache, so I refuse to take them in order to live a healthy life day to day.

Keep your focus. I dont know if your interested or mayne already have a copy of FLEX magazine December issue. it has 15 minute workouts routines targeting all muscle groups. and they really work. With so much going on you might want to check it out. have a great thanksgiving.
It sound like your doing well. I need to put more cardio in my workout. I have my spin classes but I need something different, like, running. Spin can also build your legs.. :)

Yeah, I lucked out because my teacher is so disorganized I am sure I did great on a lecture exam for anatomy, and he jacked up our lab so now I have a few days and can nail it on Friday. Also, I did Hatha yoga again today and just loved it! If more fighters besides Diego Sanchez found out about it I think it could catch on huge! It so helps with everything including flexibility!

Hi Randa! It took me about three months to lose close to 25 pounds but I was very strict with my diet. 80% may seem good but that's like gaining 20% of your weight loss right back!
(OK not really but it's a pretty good visual!!LOL)You are already making changes so be a little more consistent and you'll see big changes come quick!!
