When I Started:
Jan, 2007
How I Started:
I started working out at age 15 for Texas 5A high school football. It gave me a basic knowledge of weight lifting. It mostly power-lifting based. With lots of cleans, jerks thrown into our routines. We did squat, bench, and dead lift, but rather for power than to build muscle.
After I tore my ACL senior year I worked out my upper body during practice since there I was out for the season. I got serious about working out after New Years 2007 and a successful surgery. One of my best friends had been into bodybuilding since Junior year in high school. We all made fun of him because he was just average, but by the end of senior year he started putting some mass on. He inspired me, and in about April or so I bought a bodybuilding book and starting working with a "bodybuilder's philosophy" for the first time in my life. I continue to read as many books and magazines on it as I can and I am vigorously learning as much as I can about working out, supplements, and nutrition every day.
Why I Love It:
The one thing I can do in life where no talent is needed. Regardless of genetics, if I train hard, eat right, take the right supplements at the right time, I'm going to get bigger, stronger, more cut, and most importantly look great.
How I Stay Motivated:
Look how huge the other guys are at the rec and in magazines and know one day if I keep at it, I'll be swoller than them!
ALPHA MALE-DOM!
BB Accomplishments:
I plan to enter a contest the summer after my senior year in college.

I had been working out seriously since about January 2007, but that was really an extension of crappy football workouts. I didn't start utilizing bodybuilding training until about late March or April I think. i gained about 15-20 lbs after 7-8 months of working out. Not bad considering I had...
With all the extra time I had with my 1st semmster of college over I went running to try to bring out better cuts in my abs. I think I did somewhat decent job. Being a science major tho I don't have time to keep up the cardio during school, so I've lost a lot since then.
Get over my shoulder injury, so I can incorporate shoulders and back into my training before the summer starts.
Goal (Long):
My long term goal is to gain enough muscle to hopefully enter an amateur bodybuilding contest after I graduate college in about 4 years. I'd like to keep my main focus on education while I'm in college which is why I have set my goal for after college. However, if i think I am contest material before that goal, I may indeed enter a contest before I graduate.
