When I Started:
May, 2007
How I Started:
My husband: his great progress with lifting inspired me. Oh yeah, and in the first year of grad. school I put on 8# of fat making me realize that I needed to be proactive with my health.
Why I Love It:
For the energy, confidence, stress relief and physical improvements that result; and the persistance, hard work and consistency it requires.
How I Stay Motivated:
I managed to lose my first-year grad. school weight gain and now want to "see how far I can go." Plus I've always admired lean muscular women and would like to someday be one.
BB Accomplishments:
My arms are not as pathetically scrawny. :)

Have you ever had a lifting injury?
Yes
What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
My back. I was moving and lifting a lot of boxes and then I went to the gym and did squats and tweaked my back somehow. Not bad but enough that I ended of throwing it out the next day moving. I did my first unassisted pull-up today! It was overhand with a really close grip but still :) However, I still can't budge an inch with shoulder-wide grip. So I will start incorporating a wide-grip lat. pull down from now on and instead of the close grip lat. pulldown I was doing, I...
Nice. No-I do mostly early phase pharmaceutical development. Figuring out ways to synthesize new drug compounds for big pharma companies. And I have a meth lab.
I'll probably just keep doing this BFL split... I kinda like it. I do extra cardio right now though. Once summer is over, I'll probably start a bulking cycle.I'll definately post pics, I would've already but my camera is getting fixed. I think I've made a huge progress since the last set was taken... well I hope at least :)
I was stuck at the 23% for so long until I started this 12 week thing, it just gave me the extra motivation. Good luck to you. Your back looks nice!
Ya, I have like no fitness buddies here. None of my friends workout or eat like me :( I'm just trying to lean out. I'm doing the BFL right now just as a little personal goal thing. I'm trying to end up at 17%.... three more weeks. It's getting close!! How long have you been in Oregon?
