When I Started:
How I Started:
Can't really remember. Always played sports growing up. I've always been physically active in some way. High school football was probably the first real weight lifting I did. I was really into it in college and although I wasn't very big I was ripped. And then for about a year I was big (for me) and ripped and that's where I'm trying to get to again.
Why I Love It:
It's therapeutic to me. It gives me a rush when I'm in the gym and confidence when I'm out of the gym.
How I Stay Motivated:
Ha! Right now I don't! I'm working on it though.

Nothing crazy. I would just like to be a ripped 170. I am just over 170 right now. I probably have about 5 pounds of bodyfat I could shed. That means I only have to gain 5 pounds of muscle to reach my goal. Sounds easy enough. But, I'm tall and skinny and it takes me forever to gain quality mass so we shall see. I plan on sticking to the basics. Quality diet and exercise. The only supplements I plan on taking are protein (which I don't really consider a supplement), creatine, multi-vitamin (again don't really consider a supplement - everyone should take multivitamins), and a fish oil. I'll keep ya'll posted.

Last night I started the "Showtime" workout from the July issue of Muscle and Fitness. Man, this workout is going to kick my @$$! I'm used to supersets. But not supersets of the same body part. Man that was intense. Also not used to doing three sets of cardio throughout. I haven't...
I need my freakin training partner back! It's kinda nice doing the loner thing in the gym but i need somebody to push and spot me. I went all out on legs the other day cause i can kinda spot myself, leg press specifically.. and i couldn't walk for three days! It was awesome! But i can't do that on bench and whatnot. It's frustrating. I hope things are good and you're finding the time to get to the gym. Hopefully we'll hang out over Christmas and New Year's!
That's great news about the deal you guys got on the membership! Very cool. Maybe i can get a guest pass and we can go together when i'm down. Have a great weekend brother, oh yeah, i wrote another blog. check it out. Peace!
Thanks! I noticed you added some stuff yesterday so i was excited you were able to get on and update some stuff. Man, i wish i lived closer cause i would be there in a second to help you clean out the garage. Hopefully you'll have time though and will soon be on the way to that 11 pound gain. Hang in there Brother! Good to hear from you, and i was great hanging out last weekend, even though i lost too. haha.
