my brother was in pretty good shape i was fat and lumpy at the time, long story short my brother got me into it.
Why I Love It:
it teaches disipline and hard working ethics. also i love the feeling during and after the workout. the sound of clinging weights just everything about it. the drive, the push beyond limitations. the sweetness of my own sweat when it runs down my face and makes its way into my mouth. it is the greatest feeling ever when your in the gym.
How I Stay Motivated:
i love the feeling of musles tearing up and after my workout i feel i can do anything. aww what a great feeling!!!
6-7 years from now i'd like to to be up to 185, sooner if possible. but the idea is to fill up my body with solid mass with rips that cut deep into the muscle.
its about 1 week out man, and yea im nervous. im just going to try to go out there and give'em a show. got some more cardio to do, couple more workouts.practice my poses, i should be good to go. help or advices anyone??
ha- you think? It started off as a light hearted flippant joke- now with my fiercely competitive nature and obsessive nature im like a dog with a bone ROFL only 16 to go......
Keep with the weights bro. I just started weight training when I was your age and I weighed the same as you do now. I'm sure you learned a lot, as I did, being your first show. Next year's show is supposed to be on April 25th at the same venue. I hope to see you there.
Fat burners used to work great for me, especially nice when you're doing a low carb diet for energy... unfortunately I can't take them now.. so I'm fat and have little energy... LOL
I take very little supplements except some creatine (when I remember), glutamine (after working out) and protein powder. NO products do NOTHING for me... I wish they did. I hear people talking about the effects and I get nothing! fat burners don't agree with my internal body functions... nuff said...
