When I Started:
Jun, 2006
How I Started:
I got started because i was at my highest weight ever. I kept going up in sizes and was really unhappy by the way i looked. I also wanted to be a better role model for my daughter since she struggles with her weight too.
Why I Love It:
It is the best stress reliver. I love how i feel after a workout. I love reading about new exercises and planning for my next workout at the gym. It has become a passion for me to work out and stay healthy.
How I Stay Motivated:
I constantly look and read all of the muscle/fitness magazines. I realize that i want to look like those girls one day. I know that it might not happen but i will try to get as close as i can.
BB Accomplishments:
I started working out with a trainer in June of 06. I worked with him for a year and in that year i lost 50 lbs. I went from a size 20 to a size 12. I am now ready to kick it into gear and do another 50.
****update***7/9/09--Im in a size 8 and and 20 lbs away from that other 50. I have lost a total of 78 lbs.

This was in Oct 2004 right before my 50 mile MS walk. I was about 225-230 in this pic. i hated looking at this and seeing how huge i looked next to my best friend. i walked the 50 miles though
the only difference i can see from July is my shoulders look bigger and my hips look more square

Goal (Long):
I have been fighting with my weight ever since i was little. I was constantly active in high school. Played sports all year but always on the heavier side. Now as an adult I have been up and down in weight. I am ready to push myself to full potential to finally get the progress i want. I read and look at fitness magazine constantly and see woman who have transformed their life and went from obesity to being ripped. I am ready to be the next transformation. I want to see the muscle that i have worked on for the past years that is still hidden under the layer of fat. I want the six pack and tightness. I finally want to be able to go to the beach and look at everyone else and know i look way better. But the most important part is the knowledge that i fought hard to get to that point. IM READY TO COMPETE!
Anyone feel like they are the only ones out there trying to better their health? I know that i am a bit crazy when it comes to diet and working out. But, im trying to compete and i had a major transformation to when i started. I feel like no one understands where i am coming from and...
Yeah...I'm going to be more consistent this time. I let work take over and had to take some time to figure out how to balance training. I'm competing in 2010 so no time for breaks.
