When I Started:
Sep, 2006
How I Started:
My boyfriend's sister and mom were both figure competitors so after years of seeing their hard work and kick-butt bodies, I decided to do something about my own!
Why I Love It:
I'm not going to lie, I'm still getting used to the grind but I feel so much better about myself when I'm eating clean and working out regularly and my mind is a lot clearer.
How I Stay Motivated:
Music motivates me! I find that when I listen to my ipod, I start to want to go to the gym and get my body moving. The incredible stories that I read and hear about everyday of people who have overcome incredible odds and still have been able to get back on their feet and come back even stronger also inspires me to not take my health for granted and treat my body with care.
BB Accomplishments:
I went from NEVER working out, to competing in a fitness bikini competition and winning third in 2 months! It was basically going cold turkey for my body. :)
My goal is to get back on track with my diet and workout regimen! No more excuses!
Goal (Long):
My overall fitness goal is to get in shape and get down to about 16% body fat and actually stay there! It's been hard for me to workout and eat clean regularly since my schedule is all over the place so I want to stay consistent.

I usually do about 12-15 reps when I'm trying to gain muscle and about 15-20 when I'm just trying to tone and maintain.

How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
When I'm working out legs, I'll only rest 30 sec tops (only long enough to get a drink of water) because I want to maximize fat loss and keep my heart rate up. With everything else, I'll take about 45-60 seconds. When I'm working out legs, I'll only rest 30 sec tops (only long enough to get a drink of water) because I want to maximize fat loss and keep my heart rate up. Hey Harry Potter Girl! Hows it going on your side of the Atlantic. Preparing for any contests? Oi! Thought I'd let you know I watched Harry Potter in the end and I was sceptical but it was actually pretty good! Definitely can see why your into it..
I dehydrated myself inadvertently when I was partying last weekend in London. Went to Roller-Disco, it was hilarious and found out this girl thinks I'm hot Yay! Sorry.. I digressed but I'm pretty chuffed about that at the moment. Anyway I've started my 2nd bulking phase today so when I finish that I'll be back to pick your brain. Thanks for the advice.
I just don't get it.. The OC looks so cool so what is the appeal about England? We're all miserable bastards. I'm actually planning to move to Australia for the sun:) If you do come to England, I recommend basing yourself in the South West. They're a bit more posh and snobby down here than the North but it's slightly warmer and crime is pretty damn low. You also might like it in London but it's really expensive to get a nice area. Hope that helps a bit.
Cool thanks. I've been holding back the water for a few days and it really makes a difference. I look less bloated around my stomach. Feel dehydrated though. Apparently someone said I could be ready for my first amateur show within 12 months of training. Hmmm.. I don't know those guys look pretty big. We will see..
Hello! Thought I say hey and pick your brain for a second. I finished first bulking phase. I put on 6.5kg, or 14lbs to you lot.. Whoot whoot:) If I can get to 90kg I might do an amateur competition in England. How do you prepare for your contests??? How's it going otherwise..
Training is going well... Just trying to stay on track this week with Hallows eve and the San Clemente pub crawl comming up, you OC kids keep me busy!!!
