I have been a swimmer my whole life. Swam competatively from age 8 to 18. I've been working out since I was 13. That was my frist gym membership at University Fitness. After graduating high school and living on my own I gained a lot of fat and weight. Starting in June of '08, I decided I wanted to get back to a healthy body and have been working out since. Now I am back at University Fitness and more motivated than ever.
Why I Love It:
I love the feel of sore muscles and fatigue. I love feeling pumped after a tough set.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated through my friends and family. I work out a lot with my sister Heather. Lift with my friend Jon. And take fitness classes at my school. One of my brothers, the one I look up to the most, was a personal trainer and competed once and I think that is another thing that motivates me, to not necessarily look like he did, but have that type of muscle and fat ratio.
BB Accomplishments:
*Losing 40 lbs over the three months in summer of 2008.
*5 Mile Lake Triathlon in 2006 when I was 17.
*Kirkland Triathlon in 2009 when I was 20.
Work hard and get the body I want. A little bit of abs showing and toned body. Weight 170. Body fat 10-12%
Goal (Long):
I want to get my body better than it ever has been before. Work out and get lots of cardio in. Eat right. Tone up and get a solid 6-pack. I want this as soon as I can, but know it will take time. So I will work hard for it the next few months! Then work on maintaining it.
Why I like this video: This guy is too funny! And he gives a good set of basic tips to a balanced diet while he talks about a key subject.

So this week I tried coming up with a couple circuits to do.
On tuesday I did a toning circuit. At each exercise I did 1 minute of the exercise then 15 seconds transition time before starting the next. That day I did:
DB Chest Press
Inclined Leg Press
Lat Pull Down
Jumping Jacks
BB...
Everday at the gym do 1.1 mile run at 6.5 miles an hour steadily increasing speed.
Mondays are Chest.
Tuesdays are arms, Biceps, Triceps, and Forearms.
Wednesdays are Legs.
Thursdays are Shoulders and Traps.
Fridays are Back.
Saturdays are cardio.
Sunday rest.
aw, that's too bad.. final exam time is always crazy hectic..good luck on yours! and I hope things get better with your girl.! I find the gym's always a good way to relieve stress.. pound it out!!

Glad you made it to the gym, sounds just like what you needed. Its around 6pm here, i've taken it pretty easy today, oh besides my kick ass upper body workout. About to head out for dinner... just gotta keep being good, i'll just have to pretend I can't see all the high fatty foods on the menu :-) Have a great weekend!
I do up to an hour of jogging usually, but when I'm real burnt out I'll give it a miss. I hope all the drama slows down for you and you have a chance to get back into it.
yeah, well he knows how important fitness is to me, so I could see him being understanding..but I know he'll be pretty opposed to it all at first... I'm taking a lot of biology/science classes and fitness and health.. which i LOVE.. (I want to work in the fitness industry) what are you taking? .. I'm loggin off now to hit the gym!
haha well yea some ppl have, which didn't really bother me that much when I was single..but I'm now in a relationship and I know my bf would not be impressed... I'm also thinking he might not even like me having this account all together..:| we'll see. school's goin really well, gettin into finals, so a lot of studying. how have you been?
haha yes born and raised =) ... even if it was thanksgiving here, I wouldn't be enjoying all that food.. gotta have that 6pack for new years..it's crunch time, no cheats!! :P
yep, I'm going onto week 8 with team poynter! so i'll put up progress pics in a few days here.. and we celebrated thanksgiving a month ago here in canada.. haha so no plans :)
that's awesome! yea I just got back from a 6am workout.. I'm a big morning person so I love it..plus you don't have to wait around if someone's using what you want! heh
