When I Started:
Jan, 2009
How I Started:
My family Owned a gym back when I lived in Dominican Republic. I started working out at 16 and fell in love with resistance training and body sculpting
Why I Love It:
Whats not to love! I love the feeling of resistance. The more weight I can feel against me the more I like it. I don't believe in using weight without proper form so I stick to weight I really CAN lift with the target muscle.
How I Stay Motivated:
I don't need motivation to work out since I like it so much. I need motivation to diet. I just let my desire for the best body I can have push me. The problem really is starting a diet, once you have everything planned it all goes downhill from there.
BB Accomplishments:
Back when i was 18 after two years of working out and dieting I got to the point where I was satisfied with the body I had. A year after that a propane gas tank blew up in my house and I was hospitalized for 3 months with 1st degree burns in 70% of my body. I lost 50 lbs. I've been working out after that, but I've always had problems with consistency with my diet and a smoking problem. I already fixed the smoking problem, its all about dieting & consistency now.

Goal (Long):
My long term goal is to be 180 pounds with 8% body fat. I have been close to that point before so I know my goal is something I can and will achieve. I want to lead a healthy lifestyle. I want to have a body people around me will admire. When I was a kid I admired my father because he was strong, I want my son to look up to me in the same way.
How has bodybuilding and fitness helped and/or changed your family life?
I was a mess before I started working out/dieting. I would go to bed whenever I felt like it, eat at any time I wanted, I wasn't very responsible, had real problems achieving goals in general. After I got my act together and started a meal plan and workout plan I noticed I started caring about being organized, keeping clean, and keeping my word. I attribute it all to organization. When you divide your day in 3 hour periods, you HAVE to be organized and that helped me with EVERYTHING.I was a mess before I started working out/dieting. What mistakes did you make when you first started working out?
oooh boy too many to count. First I didn't have ANY meal plan. I would work out without any plan whatsoever. I think I worked my chest muscle everyday for a whole week once hahaha. I just uploaded a new progress picture I'd like to ask the bodybuilding.com community to help me out. Could you guys estimate my body fat? I know there are people out there who estimate by looking better than what those fat monitors can. thanks for your comments!
First off, you are looking good. Your group has the right goals and attitude. At 57 I have shown some good improvement over the last two years. Lost 23 lbs and really changed the body fat. Unbelievably stronger than I was when I first got serious. But I still have a long way to get the tone and cut I want. If you don't mind a 50+ guy in synergy, I'll join. Let me know.
Hey eduardo, way to go, keepin it lean and ready to take on the WORK! nice "V" buddy, keep packin on the lean muscle and gain that 16 lbs...peace, Rich
i was starting to feel like that on Wednesday. Didnt really feel to good..headache and tired. But yeah, take it easy. You will come back stronger and kick ass at the gym next week!
i've tried lots of different things. for a long time, i'd go without weighing myself for weeks at a time. i find that just checking in every morning at the same time keeps me on track and it keeps me motivated. might not work for others, but it works for me =)
Good luck on your journey. I just wanted to make this post to tell you that I've tried the Gaspari Halodrol and it is an excellent supplement. You're pretty well proportioned naturally to begin with, so you should do extremely well.
the chocolate milk shake literally tastes like chocolate milk.. best tasting protein powder i have ever had. does not clump either, i highly recommend it
thankyou, yes it seems consistency is my problem, with eating and starting and stopping but only with motivation, i still go out and do workouts but not at 100% cause motivaton down. but i will take ur advice at look more closely. thanks
