My family has a history of heart disease and my dad died at the ripe age of 47 from being unhealthy, he wasn't an obese guy, just a big guy that never watched what he ate. So I made a choice not to let that happen to me. Also, I was a skinny kid growing up til my mid twenties, since then the weight has progressively gone up and I want to proud to have my shirt off at the pool or beach..
Why I Love It:
I work from home, so the gym is my release from the daily BS I deal with. I take my stress from the day into the gym and use it as motivation. I leave the gym exhausted on most days and forget all about why I was stressed in the first place. It's also a great feeling when you lift more than you ever have, being goal minded, I love to see the changes I am making.
How I Stay Motivated:
I read a lot of positive books on attitude and goals, so that helps. But mainly I have goals set for my physique, and looking in the mirror is enough to get my ass off the couch and into the gym. Also, it helps when someone you haven't seen in a while compliments how great your looking.

Damn a triathalon! I can't even run a mile with out a problem let alone biking and swimming...things are good trying to keep track on the diet and exercise but at a young age im usually always steered away..have a happy fourth there big man!
