hey man i was just watching your old NPC teen competition vid and i noticed you flex your legs in the back shots the same way as in your recent pics. just a suggestion, separate the width of your feet a bit more and really exaggerate an outward bowing (each knee facing the respective back corners of the stage). it makes a big difference in how your quads appear and looks less 'clumsy' IMO. give it a try if you'd like!

You and mr. 2nd place were bigger than me and drier. I'm just basically sick of being a little guy and want to have some meat to back me up. All the while I'm learning the best ways for me to get stronger, add mass, diet efficiently. You haven't seen the last of me ;) By the way, what was your weight 10/25/08 and your "normal" bodyweight?

Ha, thanks man; if only they didn't overshadow the rest of my body! Training hit a low point a couple weeks ago, but that's always the best time to kick into a really high gear. I started logging everything and making sure progress is made with every session/meal. I'm not planning on competing for a while because I don't want to step onstage at in the 140s again.

Get your eating on track and monitor your calories. Don't become carb-phobic or fat-phobic, both have their roles. Take regular weight measurements and adjust your diet/activity levels according to the change or lack thereof. Push your body and it will reward you. Strive to progress in all aspects of performance and the aesthetics will follow (so long as the diet matches the goal). Best of luck, thanks for your kind comment.

Absolutely man; in high school i coached my 273lb friend down to his current weight of about 180. At the most basic level, what you must do is simple: put in 100% effort as it will take a great deal of work to turn your body around. A tad more specifically, you should prioritize lifting with very regular and frequent cardio sessions. Don't be too afraid to "lose muscle" as the liability is minimal for you and the primary goal is just to get down to healthy bodyweight.

yeah, i'm slowly climbing. i've been trying a lot of new stuff diet-wise with my newfound nutritional knowledge. it all seems to be going really well, i'm just trying to ensure fat gain is nonexistant. i'd like to finally get up into the 180 range by the end of the summer!

it's alright, i've been sorting out a few crossroads lately. i've been lifting heavy as hell for a while so i'm doing a short bout of GVT before adopting some f chad waterbury's principles. you look to be losing fat at a nice rate.

i read your ish about steaming broccoli. the answer (which i didnt see anyone really mention) is that you shouldnt put EVOO or canola oil under heat. their tolerance for it is like, the lowest of all oils. that's why one would opt for using higher-heat oils like coconut. im sure theres some chart somewhere if you google it

Just to continue what I've been doing, but now with the addition of the anabolic diet. If magically in the next 6 months I get up to 180 or even 170 if I'm leaner than ever, I should compete towards the end of the season. Good luck coming down from 312, don't let your emotions make you rush the muscle away!

Oh, I just mean that, for instance, I'm 19 and go to an arts school. Not many kids there are even into sports let alone hardcore bodybuilding. Even at my gym in the heart of the city with some ungodly number of members, only about 7-10 guys are even into competing in bodybuilding, and I'm the youngest of course. It's just not very popular to work hard I guess haha.

My goal is actually to come in 15lbs heavier while being leaner than I was at the OCB CCC. If this takes me a year or less through implementing all the new things I've learned, then yes, otherwise it may be more of a 'within 2 years' goal. I certainly had a fire lit under my ass to take it to the next level! It's just too bad so few people around me feel the same way.

I'm doin' alright man! I just got done with my first competition a month ago, and since that was a benchmark and a half for me, I gave myself a week of sloth and gluttony which unfortunately put on a quick layer of fat, and I'm very much a lean-freak. I just finished a 3-week phase to strengthen my core for the impending strength phase which I'm testing all this week before I begin. Good luck to you man!
