I was a gym rat in my ealier years while in the army, but after about three months after I left the service I was in a car accident which busted up my body pretty good. This kept me out of the gym for over a year. The problem that I had was I did not want to go back due to the fact I had lost so much. So since my release from the doctor I have gained a tremedous amount of weight. Now that I do not feel sorry for myself I decided to get back to buisness.
Why I Love It:
I enjoyed bodybuilding for the reasons of setting and accomplising goals. Every week was a new goal, and every year was a new goal. So just challenging yourself is enough for me.
How I Stay Motivated:
Lots of ways...Do not get lost as I did feeling sorry for yourself. There is always someone in a worse place in their life.

This was taken for the challenge in the fat loss section.
I would like to loose approximately 100 lbs in a year. I would like to do so in a year. My overall goal is to get back into my previous military days fighting shape. My stats in the army were 5'10" 210lbs @ 14% bodyfat. I want to be around that again. I will do what it takes so that my daughter will look up at her dad and be pround to tell her friends that is my pops. Weird I know.
Well I finally felt comfortable doing a really heavy leg day. Man O Man what a lift. Now granted it was now where near where I need to be in terms of strength but it felt so good to do squats again. I had a old gym buddy of mine workout with me today just to push me a little more. Here...
We came out pretty good, lost power for a bit but I'm one of the lucky ones, others people in the city got hit real bad,I live a little north of Houston (Spring,Tx),thanks for checking. How have things been going for you...
Congratulations on making the decision to get fit. Always challenge yourself to be the best that you can be. Combine a good nutrition plan with some form of cardio and weight lifting and you will be amazed at the changes and the speed at which they can occur. My wife (bodyspace name: judimax) and I did the Body for Life program, which is for a total of 12 weeks and received amazing results. You may want to give it a look-see. Stay strong and all the best.
Gig 'Em right back at ya! It's kind of funny. When I took that picture I didn't give any thought to the fact that I was wearing an A&M shirt or that our diplomas were hanging on the wall behind me. I was just messing around with the camera late one night and that was one of the few pictures that came out looking alright (except for the "mad man" red eyes, that is). Thanks for the comment and keep up the good work. Wanting your little girl to look up to you is great motivation.
