Dude! - Awesome progress..I have some questions and comments. First, what type of equipment do you have in your garage for crossfitting? I'm planning on building something when i get back home. second, have you tried the zone diet? If not, I recommend it - you'll get results for sure.

I don't do any weight lifting other than what comes up in the crossfit WOD. That's it...I do a warm-up / stretch program prior to the workout, that is all body-weight exercises: pullups, pushups, dips, squats, sit-ups, back extensions...3 sets of 10-15 reps, 6 days a week. It's not genetics - I've never had a muscular body, trust me. It's 75% diet and 25% workouts IMO.

I am in the same boat - I work/train with guys almost half my age. I love to hear the excuses why they can't do this or that - then I have to remind them of my age while I'm doing it...I love, even more, to hear the excuses of the other guys my age, Senior NCOs and officers, that should be role models for those young guys - old injuries seem to linger forever, no time, metabolism, joints, etc...I've heard them all.
