Staying fit enough to pass PT standards in the military since 1989. I started working with weights in 1998 and stopped in 2000 when I turned 30. I started using crossfit.com in November 2007.
Why I Love It:
I want to be healthy enough to enjoy life and keep up with my kids and my wife for many more years.
How I Stay Motivated:
Mirrors
BB Accomplishments:
I don't have any body building accomplishments. I have found that a clean diet and a solid workout program WILL produce results.

220lbs and 20+% BF, this is how I stayed until I began crossfit in Nov 07.
I want to be fit and healthy for a long time and be a role model for my kids. I am not a body builder and do not want to have huge muscles. I want to have lean, functional muscles.
I'm slowly populating my "bodyspace" profile. I am not sure if I want to commit to keeping a profile here because i'm not really into bodybuilding. I am into fitness and CrossFit is my current workout plan. Having a muscular body is just a side effect of diet and staying in shape. I...
I usually spray down with Pam cooking spray 30 minutes out and then again at 5 minutes out. It gives me the shine I need on my outer calves to hit a nice back shot!
I leave them in, well, mainly because it's much easier to stream into the computer ;) But also because I remember the "joy" of commercial-less AFRTS...
Rob,
Your progress is freakin amazing. I'm a new Crossfitter as well. I love the intensity and brevity of the workouts. I work in Kuwait and our gym is not set up well for CF workouts, so I modify a lot of the WODs. I'll be in Camp Pendleton in September for the Level I cert! Once again, your progress is awesome.
I don't do any weight lifting other than what comes up in the crossfit WOD. That's it...I do a warm-up / stretch program prior to the workout, that is all body-weight exercises: pullups, pushups, dips, squats, sit-ups, back extensions...3 sets of 10-15 reps, 6 days a week. It's not genetics - I've never had a muscular body, trust me. It's 75% diet and 25% workouts IMO.
Thanks, and you are never to old for football, hell by your picture you can't be more then what 25-27. Put me to shame, kinda makes me want to hit the gym even harder now.
