When I Started:
Jun, 2004
How I Started:
A buddy of mine (Thanks Eddie!) got me and a couple of our friends into lifting and educated me a bit and then I started reaching out for knoweledge and learning how to better myself further. I still miss working out with those guys. =)
Why I Love It:
I think it has got to be the inner peace I feel afterwards. When I go too long without working out, I get easily annoyed, somewhat ill tempered and feel unsettled. After working out I am relaxed, calm and I feel a certain sense of accomplishment. Plus who wants to be the fat guy that breathes loud when he walks 5 steps?
How I Stay Motivated:
I am a member/moderator of several forums, read magazines often, talk to my bodybuilding friends and lastly and most important, look at myself naked in the mirror once a day. That is the best way to get yourself to focus. ;oP
BB Accomplishments:
In less then a year when I first started I dropped 8% body fat. That may not sound like much, but it made quite a bit of difference for me.
I am also proud that I am now lifting at home. I never thought that would work out, but having the free weights at home has been so easy and convenient. I have been hitting it very regularly now and I am working full steam to accomplish my goals!

I plan on dropping some LB's and getting more ripped then ever!
Goal (Long):
I am not looking to win any competitions or anything like that. I just want to be strong for my wife and daughter and to stay healthy and be in good enough shape to do anything I want at a moments notice.
I like it when the sleeves of my shirt do not fit anymore and push up all on their own. =)
I plan to reach the following goals:
Weight: 280-290lbs.
BF: 8% or less
Biceps: 21"
Forearms: 16"
Waist: 38"
Chest: 62"
Calves: 22"
In addition I want to be able to run at 10miles/hr on the treadmill for ten minutes straight without passing out. =)
I am giving myself 3 years to reach these goals from where I currently am. It is going to be a long, hard road and I know it, which only serves to make me more determined.
1. High reps, low speed, low weight.
2. Low reps, high weight, high speed.
3. Mid, mid, mid.

How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
In the beginning 30 minutes I superset everything as fast as I can change out the weight. After that 30s-1min and near the very end maybe up to 2 minutes even. My goal is for every rep of every set to be strict and to focus on form to hit the muscle I am looking to build. Otherwise what is the point? What celebrity body would you most like to have? Why?
Ferrigno, Reeves, Zane, Flex, Arnie, Reg Park, etc. Basically the guys from 50-70's got it right. They looked clean and symmetrical without being too big. I really love the old muscle beach black and whites. That was classic stuff man!!!Ferrigno, Reeves, Zane, Flex, Arnie, Reg Park, etc. Basically the guys from 50-70's got it right. Sheesh! It seems like a blur. And looking at the old progress meter ain't too impressive. Lost a half pound in a month. BAH! I been working at it too. Oh well a few more tweaks and a little more effort will add up to more next month I am sure. Heck, at least I didn't gain! ROFLOL!!!
If there's one thing I know about my homey, it's that he'll accomplish his goals. Once he gets his eyes set on a target, the target usually gets obliterated.
