When I Started:
Apr, 2007
How I Started:
I started my job as a firefighter in 2006 and gaining strength is a huge priority for me to be able to hold my own against the boys. I did a lot of strength work to get through the application process and now I am in I need to step it up even more. I have worked out to loose weight a few years ago going from 70kgs to 60 which is where I am now.
Why I Love It:
I love seeing gains in strength. I need to do a lot more though as I get down easily about my body (like so many girls!).
How I Stay Motivated:
To get myself to the gym I think about how much I have to prove to my work mates. But as far as food goes.. I have no motivation. It is what is keeping me from the body I want.
BB Accomplishments:
passing the Physical test to get accepted in to the Fire Service, then completing the 11 week Recruits course, which was damn hard work!

This was a year ago, but I have only been making actual progress the last month or so, up until then I was not doing anything consistently. Around 60kgs
This was after a good solid 3 weeks which I lost about 4-5lbs. I then ate pretty poorly for week or so but scale hasnt budged. Back to eating well now hoping for another 3-4 weeks!I *think* my upper thighs look better
I want to reduce body fat to 18% initialy and make huge improvements in strength
Goal (Long):
I want to be able to bench press my body weight (60kgs) I am at 45kgs now which I can rep 3 or 4 times. I want all over great improvements in strength to help me keep up with the boys at work.
Now for the vanity side of things I want to get a flat stomach for once and visible abs, and slim my hips, and definately rid myself of chunky thighs. Really want to reduce bodyfat.
Started on this site well over a year ago, how much have I improved? Very little. Why? Because I have been slack slack slack. Plenty of excuses, none of them worthy. Have been doing enough to 'cruise' along. Still under 60kgs, Approx 58-59, but not good muscle gains. Aparently you actually...
This is what I wil be trying for next couple of months, hopefully I do well with it. Cardio will mostly be light, ie walking my dog on hills. Also boxing classes. On leg days when I am at work I will also walk up the tower with heavy cylinder a few times..
you look fantastic, but did I leave you a comment?
anyway, congradulations on shedding yourself a nice pair of abs. the work you must have done really shows!

Thanks for the add & comments. I really admire your career choice! Well, my workout is on my profile page if you want to check it out. I do eat pretty clean. I can give you more info if you want. I'm low on time at the moment, but I'd be more than happy to help anyway I can. Good luck achieving all your goals & keep in touch!
hey there.i have been out of the loop for a while and so was not able to set up my account to this thing as yet. I am just passing through quickly for now but i will be back tomorrow to fully get things started so don't think i deserted you.
a challenge? that sounds great as I surly do need the extra push. I was out of town this weekend but now ready to get back inot the swing of things. I also got some whey protein this weekend so hopefully this will put me into high gear with the weight loss. How is ur urge to splurge going?
