"I ACHIEVED MY GOAL BY COMPETING IN A SECOND SHOW IN THE FIGURE DIVISION. I WON 1ST PLACE! LOTS OF BLOOD, SWEAT AND TEARS, BUT IT WAS WORTH IT! :0) AWWW SWEET VICTORY...NOW JUST MAINTAINING SOME OF THAT HARD EARNED MUSCLE, AND STAYING FIT."
I got my 1st gym membership 9 yrs ago, when my daughter was almost 1 yr. The weight didn't just come off like it did after having my son at 19. I lost weight and toned up some, but couldn't seem to add muscle. I thought I could still eat Taco Bell, drink alcohol, etc...as long as I was working out. I was so wrong! I was just maintaining to eat junk food. I became friends with the gym owner's Brandy and Aarron Maddron (Medford OR). I was in such awe of their dedication to their sport. I loved seeing before and after pictures of other people meeting their goals. It wasn't until I moved to Alaska, that I was inspired to compete in Figure.
Why I Love It:
I just love listening to my music, and getting into "the zone". It's a great feeling to be able to work towards goals, and accomplishing them. Most of all I love seeing my body transform. It's also vital that I stay in shape for my job. I have helped some of the guys at work to get motivated at the gym, and lose weight. It's so exciting when they see the results of their dedication. I love to inspire others.
How I Stay Motivated:
My husband is so supportive, and I have amazing trainer's. I also love to read my favorite magazine Oxygen. It's so empowering to see women of all ages living fit lifestyles, and reaching thier goals at all different levels.
BB Accomplishments:
My 1st show was in 2005 at the Alaska State NPC Bodybuilding, Fitness & Figure Championships. I took 3rd place in the over 5'4" Figure division. I trained for 5 months, and felt I did pretty good for being 35! :)

Goal (Long):
I want to gain more muscle this time around. So far so good. I started out @ 135 lbs, 23% bodyfat. I'm down to 125, and 11.8% bodyfat. I have to get down to around 116 lbs., and 8% bf.
