Overall Goal: ** NO BS PM's PLEASE **
Well, I'm trying to walk at 160lbs or above (natural welterweight) without decreasing my cardio and anaerobic capacity.
My main sport is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (with Judo here and there.) My shoulders, elbows and right wris
Fit Status:
Meh, I'm fighting off an ear infection, might have to undergo a turbinectomy
Long ago when I was in college. It's until 06/2006 that I've become aware of the importance of high anaerobic capacity.
Why I Love It:
I love it because it makes me feel good... plus it makes me look good... j/k, but not really.
It is also one good activity that my girlfriend and I share.
How I Stay Motivated:
Lately, I've had a hard time keeping up a consistent martial arts training schedule due to work. However, I don't have problems keeping up my motivation.
Even when I can't train at the gym or dojo, I train at home. Anything that has a carry over for the times I can train martial arts.
Little by little I've set up a home gym. At home, sumo deadlifts are king :)
I'm very much into bodyweight workouts, too. If you don't believe bodyweight exercises work, try doing one hand push ups... on your knuckles. Call me back when you do 10 of them (evil grin).
BB Accomplishments:
I'm not a bodybuilder... no shit ;) I'm rather punny looking, though extremely handsome :P My major accomplishments include not having a limb broken or dislocated during training yet, throwing people on their heads, deadlifting 400+lbs, being able to do one-hand push ups and/or lots of towel chin ups (the ligaments in my fingers don't like towel chin ups that much, though :P)

Ok, I'm going to try to be as detailed as possible:
1 - be at 160+lbs
2 - have higher anaerobic capacity
3 - have higher cardio
4 - increase support/crush grip strenght
5 - increase wrist/hand/fist strenght
Except for #1, everything else is directly needed for my martial arts training. Sometimes I feel #1 is mutually exclusive with the remaining goals.
If that's the case, then I'll have to make adjustments to my expectations on that particular goal. Time will tell :)
Why I like this video: Inoue vs Gill, Sydney Olympics 2000 finals
Not me in the clip, but whatever I do in physical training MUST translate for that type of activities.
That's my personal measure of fitness and strenght :)
It's been over two months that I've done anything. As my bad luck would have it, I contracted a staph infection on my left calf. I'm 99% certain I got that during my a friendly sparring session I had with a group of fellow grapplers.
That threw me off the road, and the recovery was slow. I...
It all depends on whether I'm training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu/Judo or not. My main staple is the following:
Deadlifts, deadlifts and more deadlifts. Sumo deadlifts, hack deadlifts, rack pulls, one-hand deadlifts. Throw some front squats here and there. Most...
She is right..WHAT IS BS PM?
Nice dead man. I am trying to work back up to 355 dead myself. Last time I did it I ****ed up my back. I used to do some JUDO but got my 1st through 3rd dan in kenpo.
