Overall Goal: Bulk up the upper body a bit, thin out the midsection.

When I Started:
How I Started:
I did a bit of weight lifting in high school, then started Nautilus while in grad school. Stopped for a few years, but started up again a year and a half ago. Now I mostly do a Cybex circuit at the gym with a cable machine.
Why I Love It:
Clears my head and keeps the body in shape.
How I Stay Motivated:
My motivation definately fluxuates. When I'm on a good routine I want to go to the gym every day. If I get off routine I start coming up with excuses to do other stuff. Summer generally has me out of the gym, doing other stuff, but I still try to keep active (biking, hiking, whatever).
BB Accomplishments:
Not really interested in competing. Just working on keeping a healthy (and healthy looking) body.

Winter, 60 minutes on the elliptical on just cardio days, 10-30 minutes on weight lifting days.
Summer, biking whenever I can, with a few extra elliptical runs thrown in.

What heart rate do you aim for while doing cardio? Why?
It's usually in the 140s, occationally low 150s. I don't really aim at anything specific.
I've been on a pretty good routine lately, at least for me. Generally getting to the gym 3 or 4 times a week (biking over on sunny days). Most days I manage an hour on the arc trainer (keeping the heart rate somewhere in the 140 to 150 range generally) and then follow it up with an upper...
I generally do a full upper/mid body workout using the Cybex circuit at the Y (basically the same thing as nautilus), with a few extras on the cable machine thrown in, three times a week. I typically do one heavy-weight set on each machine, then do a second circuit, a bit lighter with two or...
Hi friend. I was just wondering if you were intending to post some new pics in the near future. I have uploaded a few recently and so would be interested to know if you were likely to post some news pics as well.
