How many days per week do you do cardio?
4
- Updated Mar 9, 2008 11:35am

What is your cardio exercise plan?
Winter, 60 minutes on the elliptical on just cardio days, 10-30 minutes on weight lifting days.
Summer, biking whenever I can, with a few extra elliptical runs thrown in.
- Updated Mar 9, 2008 11:35am

Do you monitor your heart rate while doing cardio?
Yes
Do you use a heart rate monitor? Which one?
Generally I just check my heart rate occationally on the elliptical machine.
What heart rate do you aim for while doing cardio? Why?
It's usually in the 140s, occationally low 150s. I don't really aim at anything specific.

Workout Program:
I generally do a full upper/mid body workout using the Cybex circuit at the Y (basically the same thing as nautilus), with a few extras on the cable machine thrown in, three times a week. I typically do one heavy-weight set on each machine, then do a second circuit, a bit lighter with two or...

I use whey protien, multi-vitamin, and creatine as my suppliments. I've noticed big differneces with the protien and believe that the creatine definately helps reduce recovery time.

Thanks for the add and compliment. My only advice I stole from Flex magazine, and US soldier in Iraq - "Go to the gym regularly. Lift heavy things repeatedly. Don't eat the pound cake." No magic pills, just consistent plugging away.
