I started powerlifting during College Track and Field. I grew to love everything about the sport. Pushing yourself until you get that feeling that you are going to puke and your muscles are going to pop! I discovered how much I enjoyed the lifting and lived for the "PUMP" I soon competed in my first bodybuilding show and was hooked for life.
Why I Love It:
"The intensity, pump and pain."
How I Stay Motivated:
Knowing I am a Life long 100% natural bodybuilder.
BB Accomplishments:
-1st Heavyweight 2009 INBF Washington State Natural.
-1st Heavyweight 2008 INBF Washington State Natural.
-Featured in ads for Anabolic Xtreme 2008.

I have never met a man that is so passionate about natural bodybuilding and every aspect with it. You are addicting Berto, a true inspiration!
He's FATHER FLEX....enough said.
Eric is a true inspiration on and off the stage. He has a balanced outlook on the sport of natural bodybuilding and power lifting and if people had only 1/2 of his drive and determination, they would be virtually unstoppable!
What supplements do you take immediately after your workout? Why?
I usually take 30 grams Carbohydrate (waxy maize starch) Mixed with 3 servings Xtend and drink during my workout. Post workout I drink 40 grams whey protein Isolate then have a whole food meal about 1 hour later.I usually take 30 grams Carbohydrate (waxy maize starch) Mixed with 3 servings Xtend and drink during my workout. How many reps per set do you usually do? Why?
10+ reps per set. It's not how much you lift, it's how much you look like you can lift.
Four finalists qualified for the overall competition and a chance to win their pro card. From left, Luke Ehlis (heavyweight), Tony Quincy (light heavyweight), victor Brad Loomis (middle weight), Jason Kennedy (light weight).
Thanks so much! It was a fun show! You would have got a kick out of seeing "Roberta"! She never looked better:). Hopefully I can put up some pics soon! Thanks again!
Got a couple of 4ths in Masters and open class.... toughest group of quality guys I have seen at one show and am happy with my placings.... but not satisfied:) There is work to be done and progress to be made... onward and upward I go!:) Julie rocked the place... again... nearly won the overall... again and took her open class.... again:)... dang Im lucky!
Thanks Luke!! We shall see how my experiment plays out:) However it plays out, I am nowhere near finished!!--ha. Hope you are doing well, getting ready for the big show in '10, you will be unstoppable!
WOW great shoulder contraction and visible muscle mass during pullup exercise!
great example of good muscle connection, still would go slower w o weights but its still awesome to watch!
Impressive achievements bro. I am hoping to build up the weight to qualify for NPC's Light Heavyweight Class. I've got to pack on a lot of muscle. Any suggestions?
Thanks Luke!!:). Julie and I had a truly appreciated experience--- both took our classes and Julie was in serious contention for the open overall!!.... Needless to say we are thankful and honored, thx for your motivation, watching you at your last show was awe inspiring:)
Luke, heck of a great job. Very, very happy for you indeed. May I ask a quick bit of advice? Was doing barbell squats...325 lbs yesterday...was feeling good going down on my rep was starting on the way up when "pop" in my lower back..I was like o crap. I still had to get the bar on rack and then fell to the ground w/ back spasms....going doing ice and doc gave a muscle relaxer tab....anything else I can do so that I'm not walking around like an old fart?
