I wish I were coming along quicker :) but don't we all? My coach has me only doing 20 minutes of cardio 6x a week. I am so used to pumping out the cardio more intensely. He's the pro so I trust him. My problem is that I doubt myself THE WHOLE WAY!! I am still 17 weeks out. Anyway, thanks for asking!!! How about you? You getting ready for anything?

You look great girl! It is important to be sure you are eating at LEAST maintenance number of calories! If not a tad more. As far as carbs go... Eat only clean carbs. I am currently eating a portion at every meal, which is alot for me, but it gives you more strength in the gym. More strength= pushing more weight= building muscle. If you really want more muscle, there has to be slight fat gain due to the excess calories. I'm sure you know this already!! Good luck!

Awesome tatoo!! I was not on casein long enough to notice the benefits. My trainer recently took me off protein powders to ensure I wasn't getting too much off season. When I start dieting down is when I up hte protein, so I'm sure i will go back on casein. Yes, it's slow digesting so it is an optimal pre-bedtime meal to ensure your don't go catabolic during the "fast" you go through while sleeping. I love the optimum one. And not just cause my trainer is sponsored by them either!! ;)

Hey chica!! yeah, I'm good. I am training, but I also started my second job personal training at xSport. So it's kinda hectic. My diet is pretty tight, but I relax a tad on the weekends. How are you coming along?

Oh girl, you are too sweet. It's comments like those that keep me motivated. I started lifting when I was 18, but I just kinda threw them around. I am 27 now. I started seriously when I was 25- first competition. Yeah, I have been off season for a couple of months now and not feeling so hot! I made my trainer decreas my calories cause this butt was outta control! I'll PM you my diet recommendations. You did great at your first show! And you will only look better & better at each show!

If you do Ironman I will there cheering you on!! Either way I'm sure I will see you there. I am first doing Junior USA's in South Carolina, then hopefully Junior Nationals here in Chitown. And depending on what the judges tell me, I may do USA's unless they tell me I need more muscle. Then I will have to take time off to put on muscle. My trainer doesn't seem to think that. No, I'm not yet officially training people. I want to though!!!

Yeah, I took 2 years off after my first show. I did look A LOT better years later. Will you be attending the shows in Oct, Nov, and Dec? I am for sure going to the November show in Rockford. My new trainer/coach is the guest poser- George Farah so I can't miss that one! Let me know if you are going so we can meet up and say hi!! You'll be GREAT next year! I'll be competing from May through July, possibly September so we can go through it together! ;)

Lol, yeah George Farah the pro BB. He's a great guy. Very nice. It's nice to think that I don't have anything to worry about... that's why I am paying him! I mentioned that I read ALL the BB magazines so I tend to train like a BB so he said to put them down... he's my magazine now! So true. I am really excited! He hasn't played a huge role yet. May is a long time away! But not really... Have a good day! BTW-- you look awesome! The size of your arm...!!!

Well, it's my first time on a national stage so I have NO idea what to expect! I just wanna do the best I can. I have complete trust in my trainer, George Farah, but it is my first time so I know it may take a couple years to be the best I can be!!

Thanks for the comments! They made me laugh! I'm currently "off season", which really only means I am eating bigger portions & carbs of the typical BB diet. I hired a new trainer for this year, so I have NO idea how he will cahnge my prep. Since i am eating so clean now, I hope I won't have to diet hard core for too long.. Hopefully?!?
