My Workout Philosophy View My Full Workout Program
Go as hard as you can for the entire time you are in the gym. All or none. Plain and simple.
Give it your all when you are in the gym. Dont be talking on your phone or talking with your friends etc. I go with my friend to the gym all the time, but we are there to do work. We bust our asses in the gym, because there is plenty of time for talking after. The best video to explain this a video by Greg Plitt. He tells a story about a guy who goes to a self help group thing and wants the teacher to teach him more about the secrets to life etc. The mentor says ok, meet me by the beach tomorrow at 6 AM. The guy shows up and the mentor is there. That was the first test, showing up. Then the walk towards the water and the mentor walks into the water. And tells the student to follow. And the student says hey man I got this nice suit on, I cant ruin this. And the mentor replies, here you are wanting to know so much about the secretes to life. But you are already questioning what I know. You arent trusting me, instead going with your beliefs which have gotten you to where you are currently at. So the student walks in to the water and they walk till about neck level. The mentor grabs the student and holds him under water. The student trys to wiggle himself free but cannot. Not until he punches the mentor can he get a split second to get free. He gets some and and yells wtf man??? I can sue you for this etc. To which the mentor replies, ya you can. But now you know what giving it your all really is. And no venture in life buisness or otherwise will ever be successful unless that same fight is applied.
That is what I mean by giving it your all. Push it to the absolute limit. If you fall on the ground, screaming, crying, passed out, puking or w/e you know you gave it your all. The reps that your body does not want to do are the reps that matter the most. You have to make your mind in control of your body. Not the other way around

Almost everything on my profile here has to do with Greg Plitt. I swear I dont know where my fitness level would be right now had I not come across a Greg Plitt article. There is just something about what he says, how he explains things, and his workouts that make me get super pumped to workout. And I always set goals for each exercies that I do and I try to achieve it. And each time you get closer and closer to reaching that goal it just motivates you more and more.
