When I Started:
Nov, 2006
How I Started:
I have always been an athlete (golf, basketball, tennis, track, triathlons) and was getting bored with the same old workouts. It seemed no matter how hard I trained, my body pretty much stayed the same. So last year I decided to try something different. I joined my sister's (Carla Sanchez- IFBB Pro) Performance Ready Fitness and Figure Team. I learned soo much about nutrition, the proper weight workouts, cardio intensity, supplements and the list goes on. I was so happy with my results (7% bodyfat decrease and 12 pounds) in 5 months that I became obsessed!!
Why I Love It:
I love being a member of the Performance Ready team for so many reasons! I have met some amazing women that have supported, encouraged, and challenged me in ways I never thought possible. I feel so great about the changes in my body and my life and I know that I can be a great example for my three children and all the other mothers out there!
How I Stay Motivated:
I am motivated by my results!! I am a goal-oriented person so without a goal, I am useless. I decided to do a competition because I knew it could take me where I wanted to be.. But believe me, without my teammates I don't know if I could make it through all that cardio!! It's also very important to vary the workouts. We are fortunate to have Red Rocks, track workouts and x-vest cardio camps to keep us excited.

I would like to compete in a national level NPC Figure competition......AND WIN!
Goal (Long):
I would like to gain more size in my shoulders and legs in order to create the hour-glass symmetry that NPC judges are looking for.
I just competed in my first local competition and took second place in my class. I missed first by 2 points. I have a very competitive spirit, which is evident by my career (PGA Golf Professional) and I am enjoying bringing that to a new athletic venue.
Alright Erin. Thanks for the ADD. Now that u r my "friend" I gotta' stay on top of u to make it to Nationals. Hey, with enough desire...you could very well make all your goals materialize THIS year. Yeah...you really can. ~Dawn Melanie
