When I Started:
May, 1992
How I Started:
I was always into lifting during high school. I was in great shape until about age 23 when I put on a ton of weight. In January of 2006 I started to change my diet and began working out again. Running was hard to do but it gave me quick results and helped me lose about 45lbs.
Now, I have ran a full marathon and plan on competing in an Ironman competition in 5 years.
I lift weights everyday during lunch. In December of 2008 I could only do one pull-up. Now I can do 100 pull-ups as part of my workout.
Why I Love It:
I have been lifting since I was 12 and I love the feeling of bettering myself.
I love to hear about other peoples routines and accomplishments in the gym.
How I Stay Motivated:
I want to see a more toned and defined me so I continue to put myself through hell to get there. Old pictures motivate me. I use to weigh 295lbs and could not do one sit up!! That motivates me to stay in shape and push myself to new limits.
Someday, I would love to be a personal trainer and help others reach their physical goals.
The muscle up motivates me because I am still struggling to hit those on the rings. F'n hard as hell!!! But I love the challenge!
BB Accomplishments:
I once won a dead lift competition but I was the only person in my weight class. LOL!!!
The other day I did 10 muscle ups w/ 10 dips. That was a great workout!

This is after a month of intense field training w/ no weight training. I lost about 20 lbs. during the training.
went to the gym this afternoon and did a killer shoulder workout. my ab routine got cut short b/c the gym closes at 5pm on saturday's. I can't stand that!!! Oh well. SO, I have started doing muscle-ups w/ dips. For every muscle-up I do 20 dips. It is a great warm up routine and...
