How I Started: Looked in the mirror one day and did not like what I saw... knew immediately I had to do something about it.
Why I Love It: As a perfectionist, I love striving for improvement each and every day. Your body is something no one can take away from you, and you reap the rewards of hard work every day and everywhere you go.

Working out gives you a chance to shut the rest of the world out; all efforts are focused on a battle with yourself, and the winner reaps the rewards all day long.
How I Stay Motivated: I look at the "big boys" and set my goals high; each day looking to improve on the last. As long as I can be better today than I was yesterday, I feel rewarded and that in turn motivates me for tomorrow...
BB Accomplishments: None- I'm setting my sights on entering my first event in 2008 so now I can either embarrass myself, or work hard to try to look like I belong there. No way out.

Before I looked in the mirror... :( Before and After 07
This is probably the worst shape I was ever in...  Before is July of 06, after I'd started losing the weight and working out (still about 198lbs?), After is May of 07 once I started my slow gain at ~170lbs.

Goals:
Main Goal: Gain Muscle
Goal (Short): My goal is to gain muscle and enter my first contest in 2008.
Goal (Long): I started at almost 200lbs, and lost fat until I reached a low of 162 lbs earlier this year. Now my goal is to get back to 200 by gaining muscle, and ultimately end up around 235 as my long-term goal. I'm looking to enter my first contest in 2008 to help keep my efforts focused, and continue in my fitness education. SO if anyone has any advice, tips, suggestions, or anything else, I'll take it!
Weight Goal: I want to GAIN 25 lb
Bodyfat Goal: 8%

Hey Edward. Thanks for the support, but man, if you have a "Looooooong" way to go, and you somehow manage to look better than you do now, we're all in trouble. :-) Yeah, I've got before pics. yea I have lost a bit - stress realted and not eating - not good... but getting myself back on track .. what your BF% like 3 now instead of 1 since you gained some bad weight :P
