When I Started:
May, 2004
How I Started:
I got started three year ago lookin at my picture taken with my dad. I was fooled into thinking I was in good shape; the truth is, pictures don't lie. I also got serious this past February after my gallbladder surgery. I'd been going back to the gym for two years but progress was slow. It was then I realized I had to eat better too. That's made all the difference in the world!
Why I Love It:
I love how it makes me feel after a workout: I have more energy when I leave the gym then when I had when I first get there! I'm always proud when I finish a set workout: it shows if I start something, I can finish it!
How I Stay Motivated:
I took some pics of myself shirtless and look at them to remind me why I'm doing this! Taking pics of yourself are the best motivator there is!
BB Accomplishments:
none yet, but who know what the future might hold...

this is a pic of me and my dad at Christmas. When this was taken, I was a forty eight waist and weighed 316 pounds! When I saw this pic, I decided I needed to get back to the gym!
my new goal is to now tone up the flabby parts of my body having lost some weight.
Goal (Long):
to work on a split routine; back and chest Mon, shoulders Tues, free day on Wed, Thurs is leg day and bicep and tricep on Friday. Also, cardio's incorporated four days week. I don't lift heavy and am more focused on form. I also do a pyramid rep set of 4 sets with 12, 10, 8 and 6 reps. I've found this works best for me.
so, there's this lady, about middle aged and on the hefty side. no, I'm not making fun of her--I'm giving her to big thumbs up! this woman amazes me! first, she get on the elipticle machine and performs it with her hands on her hips! I can't even do that or I'd fall off the machine! ...
took me a bit to get my balance on that little slope but i got it, was having flashbacks of highschool and had to see if i could still do it! lol..how you been man?
