I took a few weight training classes my sophomore year in high school and i was surprised to see such a change. I loved it so much i made it a lifestyle. When i left home for college, i hit a slump for awhile because i literally had no time to work out. If i wasn't at school, i was at work. if i found time to rest up, i damn sure took it since my schedule was so rigorous. But fast forward a year or so to my time at SJSU and i have all the time i'd ever want.
Why I Love It:
Working out is one of my passions. I love it. When my older brother came home from college, he had bulked up like crazy and was a personal trainer. I was already working out, but when he essentially took me on and taught me a lot of what he knew, i was fascinated. Though i'm not a certified trainer, I can inspire others and help people reach their goals. I love the feeling I get when anyone i'm helping realizes the amazing changes they've made and get that huge smile of personal satisfaction and accomplishment across their faces.
How I Stay Motivated:
My girlfriend mostly, the awesome feeling i get when working out or the way i feel afterwards, plus telling myself that every little bit is progress. at the moment, i don't have access to a gym with anything heavy enough so now i've just gotta try my best to maintain for the summer then it's back to it harder than ever!
BB Accomplishments:
Training my girlfriend and helping her to lose 30 pounds
Placing 3rd in SJSU Sports Club bench press competition for under 175 weight class

this was taken about a year after i had started working out regularly. Before that i had just happened to be a really active kid.
Up all my stats by 10-15% over the next few months and get my certification within a year of graduating.
Goal (Long):
I'm pretty happy with my body now, but a little more muscle mass wouldn't hurt. Another 20-35 lbs of muscle is the absolute most i'd ever want to add. I mostly just want to maintain and keep my body as agile, fast, strong, and flexible as it is. My body is great - it can do anything i ask of it so i want to work on endurance, size, and definition for the long haul.
Why I like this video: Lateef Crowder (featured in the movie "The Protector") is a shining example to me of how someone can be such a good size and still be able to do so much with his body. I strive to be just the same way everyday
B-boy Junior - I Know You Got Soul
Played: 27
Why I like this video: that is freaking amazing!
Capoeira Vs. Muay Thai
Played: 33
Why I like this video: Tony Jaa v. Lateef Crowder (Muay Thai v. Capoeira) amazing vid with amazing martial artists. It's from the movie "The Protector", but someone threw in some Capoeira music for the soundtrack
so at the moment, i really don't know what I'm aiming for in terms of goals anymore. For awhile I was training to compete in lifting competitions, then i figured I'd try to add some more size, then try to cut up a bit. I've gotten comments from people saying i could probably do okay competing,...
I've adopted a training routine where i focus on one or two areas of my body at a time. I try to vary the workouts themselves so as not to fall into a training rut, but these are the exercises i'm sure to cover.
I'm still not loving it!I don't know what is going on with me..I moved back to the states and don't wanna go to the gym!I think i don't like the gym I joined...
