Lindenwood University Attended 2006 to Present Saint Charles, Missouri United States
High School:
When I Started:
Jan, 2000
How I Started:
Honestly, the news that I needed a men's XXXL wet suit and a photo of me in it scared me into action. I began my fitness journey in 2000, since then my body has been transformed from a 240# 42" waist fat ass to a strong and formidable 180# competitor with a 33" waist. Now I slip easily into a men's large wet suit now!
Why I Love It:
I enjoy the pump, the feel, the looks, and so on. I also like the differences between myself and my high school buddies: many are sick and dieing yet I continue to look like I could be one of their sons. There is no rush like that.
How I Stay Motivated:
Motivation is everywhere. Daily I see men whom I wish to emulate and men I pray I am never like. I understand we all have different health situations but each of us controls what goes into his mouth. I am determined to live in a way that honors maleness and avoid disgracing the physique and form.
BB Accomplishments:
09 Feb 2009 Successfully lifted 1,080# on incline leg press for two sets totaling 53 rep's.
15 Oct 2008 achieved 18.0% body fat and added another 1.0# net to my frame as measured by Biometric Impedence Analysis (BIA).
08 Jul 2008 achieved 19.4% body fat and added a net 4.3# to my frame as measured by Biometric Impedence Analysis (BIA).
31 Mar 2008 my leg presses exceeded 900#, I could not progress as the gym did not have bigger plates, so I switched to rack squats.
12 Feb 2008 my shrugs exceeded my body weight; I look forward to seeing this type of improvement in other areas.

I'll stay home and watch TV when I'm too old and frail to get out of the house.
This is the photo that motivated me to become serious! I could not stand seeing myself in a men's XXXL wet suit and hated the chubby cheeks, I felt like I looked like a girl.
Only three weeks and I should be able to curl my body weight!
Compete in an NPC competition in March 2010 and place, this will be my first show.
Goal (Long):
Obviously I'll continue lifting with attention to the areas that have shown reluctance to grow.
I have shifted my eating habits such that high glycemic index foods are gone and moderate glycemic index are reduced. I'm eating about six meals per day with the goal of consuming 35g protein in each one, I plan to eat chicken, beef, pork, fish, and eggs daily. The only catch is school days, my says I'll have to rely on protein shakes and bars.I'm also taking the amino supplements my doctor recommends.
I drink at least one 64oz (1.75L) bottle of water daily.
As the weather permits I ride my bicycle to and from college so I am burning my fat and enhancing my legs and calves...I credit years of cycling with my calf development.
Much of my life was spent living under the burden of others' fears and disappointment. I am doing and plan to do all the things I was told were beyond my reach...I'll know my limits when I start failing, until then I will believe I have not dared to imagine truly great challenges.
Why do you like having a workout partner? What are the benefits?
We keep one another motivated by encouragement and competition. Having another guy around is wise for those times when things do not go as planned.

What is your cardio exercise plan?
I ride my bicycle to school and to the gym. I also swim, run, kayak, raft, and canoe when possible; these make a great, unpredictable workout that keeps my body on its toes because daptation is nearly impossible.I ride my bicycle to school and to the gym. November 2008 was a lesson in anatomy. I learned where flexor carpi ulnaris was located in both arms, this kept me out of the gym for about four weeks. As I was easing back in I learned much about the dangers of hyper-extending my feet. I am back in the gym and hope to remain on track for all...
My current workout cycle will end in March and is focused on lifting to failure. I lift heavy and with a maximum of forty repetitions in three sets. All lifting is timed and recorded after which a forumla is applied that allows me to compare one lift with another in order to determine...
You got that right man. Heavy is heavy. I've got my bench up to 275 for 5 reps, but 225 still feels heavy. Never let people act like what you lift is nothing. I've found that people are either arrogant, jealous or jerks. Anyone else can only applaud our dedication and hard work. Keep on going man, your lifts are great.
Thank you so much for the inspiration add - really humbled by it. Also, appreciate your comments about being natural. I am still going for an athletic base and functional strength. How's your training coming along and happy new year! I have a training journal and feel free to stop by. Piero
