I started in high school but didn't get semi-serious till mid college and i didn't get uber serious till May of 08. My only motivation till recently was just to look and feel better but i recently discovered that despite my only average appearance, i have way below average fat, cholesterol, and triglyceride levels... Now my motivation is to look and feel better and to not kick the bucket sooner than i'm supposed to!
Why I Love It:
The sense of accomplishment and feeling of reaching goals. It's rewarding to have this kind of commitment that you can stick to. You just feel good afterwords.
How I Stay Motivated:
I look for motivation from friends, but since i don't have any of those in my new town then i'm relying on my long distance ones and hopefully this website!
This is me back in 1999, or somewhere around that time anyway. I'm less hairy and have less fat on me, but i'm hoping i have less muscle here as well. I'd like to think i've gained something besides fat in the last 9 years of my off and on training. I just wanted a point of comparison from the past ...
