I've always enjoyed being active, but also was always overweight. Despite my best efforts my goals always eluded me. For medical reasons, on 11/15/2006 I underwent Gastric Bypass surgery, and slowly I am getting my life back.
Why I Love It:
I enjoy proving to myself I can push the limits of my body.
How I Stay Motivated:
By trying to focus on the non-scale victories
BB Accomplishments:
So far, it appears that I have lost 75.15 lbs. in fat mass, and only 4.8 lbs. of lean muscle mass since the surgery, which is a major accomplishment. Typically with this surgical procedure post-ops lose a lot of muscle mass. Also, I am no longer Diabetic and no longer require use of a CPAP machine for sleep apnea.

I've been losing weight, lifting, started kick-boxing (with my trainer) and riding my bike in various rides to train for the MS150. It all came full circle this past weekend; I did it! I rode from Houston to Austin on my bike!!
