Background

When I Started: Jan 2009
HOW I STARTED:

I have had a constant up and down battle with my weight. Grew up in abusive home and I think I coped with my stress with eating. I played sports but ate a lot. When I was in a good place...was able to lose weight easily and loved weightlifting, esp in Medical School. Then you add babies and the weight goes back on...Was tired of looking chubby and not liking what I see after the third child. Easy to lose the weight after the first two children. After baby #3 I was a short chubby 150 pounds and full size 10. After two years getting down to 130 and full size 6...I thought I looked ok. But still with no real muscle tone and lots of cellulite. I was a fat thin person...so Started running ...and lifting more than my children.

Good Run on Weds...went 6.2 miles outside. It was humid, drizzly and high 50's. I like this kinda weather, but this day the drizzle didn't cool me off. Splits: mile 1: 9:09    mile 2: 9:04   mile3: 9:12       mile 4: 8:47   mile 5: 8:51   mile6 8:46 finished it all in 55 mins 43 secs. Good Run on Weds...went 6.2 miles outside. It was humid, drizzly and high 50's. I like this kinda weather, but this day the drizzle didn't cool me off.


Splits: mile 1: 9:09    mile 2: 9:04   mile3: 9:12


      mile 4: 8:47   mile 5: 8:51   mile6 8:46



finished it all in 55 mins 43 secs. Not bad for a sore hip...it's coming along

[View Photo] Tried to do legs today...still having lots of pain in my right hip...so took it easy



squats: 95#x20 for 2 sets, then 115#x10, 95#x10, bax10 deep and slow to stretch

straight leg deads: 95# x20 for 2 sets, 85#x15

single leg quad ext: 50#x20 each leg for two sets, 60#x8, 65#8

... incline leg press: 210#x20 for 2 sets, 260#x10



then moved to chest:



3 sets of pushups 25 each set

flat bench db p...

SUNDAY: 7 mile run in 1 hour 2 mins 51 secs Splits for the run: Mile 1: 9:01     mile 2: 8:58    mile 3: 8:59    mile 4: 9:00 Mile 5: 9:03    mile 6: 8:49    mile 7: 8:51 Not my best run, but have been fighting a bad  hip flexor, iliopsoas muscle and adductors on my right hip. So this felt great. MONDAY This chick got three personal bests today...

joannaprokop Hiiiii Stacy! Thanks for the comment. This is about two months into my transformation and I look a lot leaner tummy pooch is gone, and overall looking better. I do want more muscle though and btw you look amazing I have been checking out your page for a while to see your pics What are your creative ways with oat meal?
