When I Started:
May, 2004
How I Started:
I started getting into sports in high school, back then I wrestled and started lifting weights. When high school ended I gave up wrestling but still wanted to work out. I have always been of a smaller build, I joined the navy almost 5 years ago at 113 lbs, since then I have peaked at 165 and am down to 150 right now trying to get back to where I once was.
Why I Love It:
There is so much joy to be had doing it. When you reach a new goal, it is such a feeling of accomplishment. I also love going to the gym and seeing guys that have me by 50 or 60 lbs and just throwing up more weight than they are. I love that shit!
How I Stay Motivated:
By constantly setting new goals and never allowing myself to be content with where I am currently at.
BB Accomplishments:
Breaking 150 in weight.

doclanechanged Overall Goal: "To be in the best shape of my life by the time im 25.."
To be in the best shape of my life by the time im 25.
Goal (Long):
When I was younger I would always say that I should be at my peak at 25. I recently turned 24 and have made this my goal. Though I dont expect to peak, I just want to be in the best shape of my life by the time im 25. I am tracking the entire transformation. Thus far I have started to push my body to limits I never thought possible and I am already starting to see changes. The following are the areas I am using to judge myself. I have listed my best times/lifts/size and my goal for all.
3 mile run-20:20 Goal 18:00
1.5 mile run-9:10 Goal sub 8:00
Bench Press 275 Goal 300lbs
Squat never maxed Goal 400lbs
Dead lift never maxed Goal 400lbs
Pull Ups 25 Goal 40
Push Ups 120 Goal 200
Arms 16in Goal 18 in
Chest 38 in Goal 40+ in
I am also going to complete a triathlon and improve on that time also. I am going for a total transformation and Im already well on my way.
What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
Injured my neck doing bench by lifting too much and raising my back up transferring the weight to my neck. Couldnt move my neck for a few days and was sore for a couple weeks.

What is the most common reason that somebody gets injured while lifting?
Since getting back in to a descent work out routine and going to the gym more often, I have discovered a lot of frustrations with people not working out properly. A prime example of this is people doing bicep work-outs that uses more of there back than there arms, and then these people turn...
Cardio 5 x's a week at least 3 miles or 30 minutes of running followed by an ab work-out.
Day 1-Back/Bi's(dominatly back)
Day 2-Chest/Tri's(dominantly chest)
Day 3-Legs
Day 4-Shoulders/Traps
Day 5-Bi's/Back(Domninantly Bi's)
Day 6-Tri's/Chest(Dominantly Tri's)
.. I am good . I got back into the gym yesterday after a month off. ran for 30 minutes and lifted for 45 . I am sore but happy ... back at it today again ... lifting really helps me stay sane these days. new tattoo too! how are ya ? BTW I keep a journal on here that you might want to check out
new pics and vids for me up tonight. new fitness assessment in my forum thread confirmed 15 lbs lost and 3% of my bf%! comments welcome. what has improved? how are you my friend? will respond to your PM soon.
