At the end of 1999 I had a heart attack (with no damage) got involved in cardiac rehab, and later started lifting weights (with a trainers help).
Why I Love It:
It's my therapy and stress relief.I love the competition against myself.
How I Stay Motivated:
Seeing the changes in my body, pushing myself to go farther, longer, helping others with tips (just like people that have helped me in the past)and lifting heavier. I cannot forget to mention my trainer Summer Montabone her input has been invaluable.
BB Accomplishments:
None, but would love to compete in a masters competition at some time,it's never too late.

Well Wednesday morning I went to the hospital to be "rebooted" so now I am back in rhythm. For some that may not know when you are A-fib your heart rate is erraticly erratic so when they put you back into cardio version your heart is stopped then restarted, I don't feel a thing, I...
Currently I do spits of chest and triceps on one day back and biceps the next and end with legs and shoulders on the last day in between each lifting day is 30 to 60 minutes of cardio w/ab work.
I also am doing 2 super sets for each body part, doing between 15 to 4 reps, along with an endless...
Oh no doubt, we all have the choice as to anything we do. I agree, I just thought it was real interesting to read it from a different point of view. Thank you for the comment! Its great to hear others thoughts and views on things!
Thanks for your supporting comment! I just had to rant about the Internet creepos; I know I can't control their behavior but it makes me feel like I'm being stalked in my own home. No one of either gender should have to put up with sexual harassment, ever!
You don't go far from home if how you manage vacations & then you run back twice a day. It's a huge pain, but you need to have some fun in life too. =)
Yes, mostly in the hip area. It is great. I have my 20 year old figure back. I had just gotten to the point that I gave up when I was inspired to give it a try again.
I know I shouldn't worry about the scale but i don't have much else to measure progress...I'll try to not look at it so much!! I'll keep trucking away at the eating though! Thanks for stopping by!
Hey there...I really like the program I presently have. Haven't gone to the gym in the last few days as my best friend was here visiting. We ate too much good food and drank too much good wine!! I always give in to the food ;o) Oh well. Have to get back at it!
How's your training going?
Hey...Keep me posted!! I have mitral and tricuspid valve prolap and my cardiologist predicted that I would need valve replacement by age 35...I was 20 when he told me that. I am 43 and my heart is doing great...no regurgitation. I did have problems somewhat during my pregnancies. I lift HEAVY and he tells me to go for it. But that is me...your cardiologist knows whats best for you.
Thanks for the comment...it would be nice though if he could understand how exciting it is to be healthy and fit! Someday he will get it! Have a fun Sunday!!
Definitely saw that booth. The one passing out chocolate milk? That expo was insane.
I had a great time there. It was the first one I had ever been to it. Always have been a big fan of Arnold so that's what initially prompted me to go, plus my boyfriend has been many times before.
Can't wait til next year to go again!
Not all... but MOST! My thighs finally reached measuring past 20" ---> 20.38 to be exact. WhooooOHOOOOooo!!! Bigger than Pre-ACL surgery status. Luvin' it. The weight, still fighting to keep THAT on - much as I can for the stage. I wanna be an impressive presence on stage. SEEN as bigger and better than ever before. *smile*
