When I Started:
How I Started:
I've been working out since I began playing soccer at age 4 or 5. Although I gave it up when I went to college, I still try and keep fitness a top priority in my life. I actually starting lifting weights as soon as I was old enough to drive to the local gym at age 16.
I've began lifting lightly in the 8th grade when I had to take a mandatory body sculpting class. I've always been very figure-conscious, so I'm not surprised the habbits stuck!
Why I Love It:
I love the "runners high" I get from working out, including both aerobic and anaerobic activities. I guess I also got addicted to molding my body into what I want it to be.
How I Stay Motivated:
The mirror!!!
On a fat day, I step out of the shower and say, "OMG... I so NEED to workout!"
On a hot day, I step out of the shower, see my reflection and say, "DAMN... you look hotttt. I bet that body could do so much abdominal work today!"
BB Accomplishments:
I just like it when people want to workout with me or ask me what I do to stay fit. It's rare, but it happens. :)

I wish my body still looked like this. My goal is to get back to this shape. I was 115, so 115 or 110 lbs would be GREAT!
I'm happy. I haven't been working out like I should, and I haven't been eating that well either. I do try though, and I guess I can be happy with that. Small changes are better than none!
This just depends. I don't really have a "plan" unless the workout I am on calls for one. I just know that short and fast is good, and long and drawn out is good too. I also like to throw in intervals, sometimes with speed and sometimes with resistance. This just depends. I don't really have a "plan" unless the workout I am on calls for one. What is your favorite cardiovascular exercise? Why?
I prefer spinning classes. They REALLY make me sweat!
Why I like this video: I love doing Namaste Yoga from FitTV. I do not feel like I get a workout from an episode, but practicing yoga helps me to feel my muscles work. Feeling them move, stretch and flex allows me to know my body and train it better when in the gym.
Let's face it, it is the time of year for nation-wide weight gain. A few pieces of pumpkin pie quickly turns us all into plump pumpkins ripe for the picking! Why does this happen year after year? What is the reasoning for this madness? You would think that after a couple of failed New...
Any updates to add to the blog? I see you get pretty worried about getting bigger...I see the comment about you're arms getting larger. Do you have a measurement to back that up? I know a lot of times it can "feel" like you got a little bigger, and you may see it in the mirror, but that mindset can really ruin fatloss progress.
I don't agree with "tubby" at 120 but what do I know! Dixie sugar was the best sugar in New Orleans & I'm sure you're just as sweet. Best of luck with your training, al
No flub on you, honey ;) You look lean! You look great :) Just keep workin hard... more muscle means better definition when lean. But you seriously look good how ya are now. Take care.
