Background

When I Started: Mar 2006
HOW I STARTED:

My dad went on the ABS Diet and bought a weight bench to put in the garage. I always wanted to weight lift but I couldn't join a gym, so when he started using it so did I. I started to love the physiques of Figure icons like Nicole Wilkins and Erin Stern. I attended my first show last summer, and from that moment on, I knew I had to be up there with the other Figure girls.

WHY I LOVE IT:

I love seeing the way hitting the weights shapes my body, revealing what I had hidden away under there from my heavy days. It's my passion and it gives me a sense of calm, accomplishment, and like I'm worth something.

This will be my 6 week circuit beginning Monday October 18, 2010. It's part of my bulking cycle!

Today I sat down and talked to my "coach" AKA the bodybuilder who has been helping me through all this so far. Stephen to be exact. Anyway, he said we needed to sit down and talk about my long term goal. He told me to think about which show I wanted to do first, and to his surprise I had an answer for him right then and there. My plan is to compete in the Red Stick Classic in Baton Rogue next June. Then he proceeded to tell me that he's going to come up with a new training split for me as well, and that I'll be absolutely killing shoulders so chest training won't be necessary and tha...

Just another day in the life

Well, today was just an average Sunday in my life. Got up early, went out to a local park that has a 400-meter track and ran some 400's this morning. Just getting bored with the good ole treadmill and elliptical at the gym. It was time for a change of scenery so I decided to head out into the muggy, sticky, damp air. At least the sun wasn't out this morning. It was still very cloudy. After my 6 rounds of 400's I headed home and began my weekly cook-off lol. Pounds of veggies, fish, chicken, turkey, beef tips, sweet potatoes, new potatoes, and pasta (well, only a few ounces of this was cooked)...

As I decided to take an off day from the gym today, I want to take the time to mention most of my favorite thing. Whether it be a supplement, article of clothing, exercise, etc. It's all going to be right here!


 First off, my favorite supplements:


1: Dymatize Elite Xt time released protein in Fudge Brownie. Let me tell you something about this stuff, I got in on accident and I could not be happier with it! I'll mix 4 ounces of water, 1.5 scoops of the protein and 1 tbsp of Naturally Delicious peanut butter, blend it up and then freeze it for at ;east 2 hours
