How I Started:
After breaking my leg playing soccer in 2001, I started several workout programs, but never really finished any of them.
Why I Love It:
I love the confidence that comes with changing your body.
How I Stay Motivated:
Watching a lot of MMA. Something about watching fighters train really motivates me. And my guilty pleasure is professional wrestling. I used to love wrestling when I was a kid, but a lot of those guys were really schlubby. Today some of these guys look like superheroes! An admirer of Randy Orton, Morrison, and favorite, Batista.
I want a better body. I want to regain my confidence. I want to walk into the 1st game of the '09 season and not wonder about whether i'll have a good game or not, because I did all the hard work in pre-season. I want to strengthen my upper body. I'd like to weigh closer to 170. I want to prevent injuries. I want to perform to my physical best for the entire game instead of relying on flashes of brilliance to show people that I am a good player.

P90X is a DVD Boot Camp of sorts. I am in the first 30 days right now. Mondays are devoted to Chest & Back, Tuesdays are for Plyometrics (the Mother of all work outs!), Wednesday is Shoulders and Arms, Thursday is for Yoga (sucks so bad, but it's so beneficial), Friday is Legs, Saturday...
Good luck on goals! Idea..even when life happens and you can not make a workout try this..while watching TV, reading or whatever try to do 10+ pushups during every comercial or every 5 pages or every 2 minuets for a hour. It will keep you in the habit of working out and still burn some cals. Just an Idea. What branch of kenpo?
That's awesome! I'm glad to hear the inspiration. Whenever your feeling tired or don't want to continue on with it, just think, it's only about 1 hour a day out of 24 you have. If one hour of pain will impact your life this drastically, it's worth it. Good luck!
Bodyspace is a great place.Everyone here is supportive and cool. This place gives me a lot of motivation to get my butt in gear. It felt good to write that blog and get that junk off my chest. Now I am knocking out P90X once again. You need to post some pics! Stay strong- JT
