Overall Goal: I'd like to gain 10 lbs of solid muscle, and then cut the fat by at least 17%.
Fit Status:
woke up feeling like I got hit by a truck. LOVED IT.
Motivation Level: 10/10
Personal Info And Background:
Real Name:
Sex:
Female
Age:
27
Location:
Florida, United States
Occupation:
Cubicle farm worker
Personal Website:
Primary Gym:
College:
High School:
When I Started:
2000
How I Started:
After a car accident when I was 17, it was suggested to me (by a doctor) that I should work on strenghtening my back and shoulders (due to whiplash). I've been active in the gym since (on and off).
Why I Love It:
It is simply addictive. Once you establish a routine, it becomes second nature to want to work out as often as possible. It relieves so much stress built up in the day and gives me so much energy, I would be a manic mess without it!
How I Stay Motivated:
A couple of ways. Certain people motivate me. Some people motivate me by showing what great things they've accomplished. Some others motivate me to continue to go, instead of falling on their misteps. The main motivation though, it's me and my needs. When I see myself in the mirror, I don't see "problem areas", I now see "room for opportunity". Healthy imagery and and a "can do" attitude go a LONG way.
BB Accomplishments:
I can now bench 10 lbs on each side (65 lbs) I was stuck at 5's forever.
What is your favorite cardiovascular exercise? Why?
Running. I feel I get the most out of it, power, stamina, sweat, heart health, stress relieve, etc. I was never a runner, and I don't consider myself a "runner" but I like to run 2 miles 4-5 days a week, 1-10 minute mile, and the last doing HIIT (bursts of sprints and jogs). That way I dont find it boring. Running. Yes
Do you use a heart rate monitor? Which one?
Usually the ones on the treadmills, they are pretty accurate nowadays.
